Yesterday our bride-to-be blogger Fallon celebrated her ‘one-week-to-go’ and brought up a very topical issue – the weather. Fallon, like most Irish brides, wants to be prepared for all manners of meteorology and so is looking for the perfect wedding umbrella to stylishly accessorise her bridal wear.
There are so many styles to choose from, from elegant statement pagodas and cute and colourful brollies to oversized ‘nothings-getting-through-this’ golf umbrellas. For those who want to embrace the rain, go for something really in the spirit like a chic ‘Just Married’ engraved umbrella, or for brides who want to make a bit of fun of it all try a printed dome umbrella (that will make sure your make-up is in check!)
You can pick up a printed brolly on the high street for about €10, however if you want something in a more bridal style you might be looking at approx €20. Try stores such as House of Fraser, Debenhams or Arnotts for designer umbrellas, or look online at Asos.com. Also, keep your eye on the Buy & Sell section of the WeddingsOnline.ie forums, where brides sell their wedding accessories second hand or sometimes brand new!
