Thank you so much to Lucy and all of the wedding co-ordination team at castlemartyr for providing us with the most magical day of our lives. From the minute we decided to have our wedding in castlemartyr, we were treated impeccably well and always with the utmost courtesy and kindness. On the day itself we were made to feel like royalty, from the second we arrived and at many other intervals throughout the day. We had some extra entertainment planned for the day so it was very important that a tight schedule was maintained. I would like to pay a particular mention to Kaye for running such a tight ship on the day and keeping everything to plan. So, to Lucy, Kaye, Richard and all the other staff in castlemartyr on behalf of us both we want to say a massive thank you. We could not recommend you enough.

We are absolutely delighted that we chose Castlemartyr for our wedding and we have nothing but praise for the whole team, we wouldn't have changed a single thing and it went even better than we could have imagined! All our guests were raving about the magnificent venue, the delicious food and the phenomenal service. We loved Castlemartyr, the venue was stunning and we received so many compliments from our wedding guests. The grounds are gorgeous and we got amazing service and support before and during the wedding. We felt very taken care of and the food was magnificent too. It is a great venue to get married, it?s classy, elegant and has space to accommodate your guests! Highly recommend!

We had our wedding reception at Castlemartyr in July this year. We were delighted with the new renovations to the resort which make it very modern but also still capture the essence of the old style manor house. Our guests were very impressed with the venue and the attentive staff. All the staff were excellent, we would especially like to thank Yvonne and Jackie for all the time put into the preparations everything was fab on the day. Also to Trevor and Kay who made it very personalised they were a great help to us over the 3 days we were there. The morning after the wedding, our guests enjoyed breakfast with us in a private room off the restaurant, it was a lovely opportunity to reminisce on the day before and say our farewells. The staff kindly put some of our wedding flowers on the tables for our guests to enjoy. We were delighted with our choice of venue.

We were so pleased with our choice as we only had the chance to arrange two venue viewings in between Covid lockdowns December 2020 and Castlemartyr did not disapoint. The grounds allowed for us to have fabulous photos taken on the day and our guests enjoyed an outdoor drinks reception overlooking the fabulous gardens with the old Castle in the background. Everyone was impressed with the excellent food and beautiful bedrooms. Lucy made it all very easy for us as it was stress free in the lead up and no request was ever a problem. Jackie, Kay and all of the team at Castlemartyr did a truly fantastic job of hosting our wedding! In the lead up to the wedding, Jackie was always available to answer any queries or concerns we had and was a real joy to work with. On the day itself, everything was flawless. The hotel and grounds looked stunning, the food was beautiful, the accommodation was so comfortable and the service was fantastic. Jackie and Kay did an amazing job of ensuring that everything ran smoothly and on time. In the days after the wedding, we were inundated with stories from our guests about the little things the hotel staff had done in the background to ensure that everyone had a really enjoyable day and this was definitely a highlight for us too. From ensuring that we had nibbles while we were taking photos to looking after younger and older guests who needed a bit of extra care, the hotel seamlessly managed these little details and it meant that we could truly relax and enjoy the day. We had such a wonderful couple of days in Castlemartyr and we are already looking forward to our return trip!

From the moment we drove into the property we new it was for us.
We were met with enthusiasm and excitment at hosting our wedding.
Understanding that sales are sales, however, we didnt feel like we were just another wedding couple, we felt like the only wedding couple.
As we planned our wedding before covid, we experienced a few different changes with staff.
The support and kindness that was shown by Jackie when we first postponed was beyond a job title, it was personal understanding and empathy at the situation. We received the same graciousness when we had to pospone a second time.
Picking a third date had its challenges and it was intenses for a period of time. This left is a little deflated at the time. All was explained and clear when we heard of the take over. What pressure and uncertainty for managers at the time in the middle of a pandemic must have been very stressfull.
5star is not easy to achieve and its even more difficult to maintain. Congratulations to all who managed to keep a clear head and remain so upbeat and supportive in such an uncertain time all round.
With the new take over it feels like we jave been on a journey with the hotel. We grew in momentum on the preparations for our wedding and so did the resort with all the improvements. As the months passed we were getting stronger as a couple and the resort was getting stronger as a destination too.
A litte lesson in change and development being positive even though it can be uncertain and a little shaky along the way with some ups and downs. On reflection entering into marriage has a similar journey, hard work getting there and hard work to maintain with a beautiful outcome.

It takes a strong team and group of teams to run such an operation. This can only be achieved with strong leadership which is certainly the case here. I think the right team of people are in situ and will bring much strength and success to the resort.

The waiting staff were always wih a smile, always took time to say hello and exchange pleasentries with an interest in your day and suggestions of things to do in the area.

Sarah and the whole team at Castlemartyr really couldn't do enough for our big day. Every aspect came off perfectly, and this was no accident as we had everything planned down to a tee. Sarah had everything checklisted and made sure that we finalised our key decisions in time and in the right way. She was always available for us and really helped to put us at ease when it came to any matter.

The grounds are stunning, the accommodation is the height of comfort, the food and drink are all of top quality, and no matter what we needed there was always someone on hand to sort it out for us. We had three incredible days in Castlemartyr to make the most of the experience and every minute was worth it.

Jackie and Kay were amazing for making our wedding day, unbelievably perfect. It was absolutely flawless and we cannot have wanted anything more. All of the staff were brilliant, friendly, and approachable. All of our guests were amazed, not only by the beauty of the hotel, but by all the staff and their service.

From the moment we booked with Castlemartyr, we have been treated with the utmost respect and been accommodated at all times, even after two date changes due to covid 19. Details were carefully considered and we were contacted any time there was a query. Jackie has been amazing at getting back to us and ensuring it was such an easy process, especially when we do not live in Ireland.

When we arrived ahead of the wedding, we were treated like royalty and that we were so special all throughout our stay. The whole wedding day was flawless and I would not change a thing, and that was a credit to all of the staff at Castlemartyr. Even the days after when we were at the hotel, with other weddings happening, we were still treated like we were the most important people, which made our time there even better.

Every guest commented on how amazing the food was too, a lot even said it was the best wedding food they have ever had!

Castlemartyr will always hold a very special place in our hearts, and we are already planning our next time there.

Our day was so special. The team at Castlemartyre could not have done more for us. Both Jackie and Kay are phenomenal and incredible at what they. Our guests made frequent comments of how tremendous the staff at Castlemartyr were on the day and throughout the whole weekend. Nothing was an issue. We cannot recommend Castlemartyr enough. We are looking forward to our return on our wedding anniversary.

We booked Castlemartyr after considering a different locations. The setting and professionalism of the staff won us over. Jackie from the hotel worked with us all the way through to plan our wedding and was a great help be it with advise, answering or getting answers to any questions we had, as well as the various alterations needed around the COVID restrictions. Communication was excellent and all responses were timely, thorough, we were always clear on what the hotel needed from us and vice versa.

On the day the setup and hotel were excellent, there are so many locations both outside and inside the hotel for photographs. The drinks reception and welcome our guest received was wonderful from the concierge team helping older relatives out of cars and delivering bags to guests rooms to the tasty food options. Food was also delivered to us (bridal party) as we were having photos taken, a much appreciated and needed at the time.

The Capel Suite/ballroom was excellent the closing of the curtains and changing accent light subtly moved the evening from dinner to dancing.
The dinner was excellent, and there was plenty of options that let us put our stamp on the menu. Our guests commented how good the meal was. The champ is fantastic!
The dinner service was great and ran off without a hitch which meant the band was able to kick off and get the party going.

On the day we were never looking for anyone to do something for us, the staff were there when needed and everything to worked. There are so many small touches like a private room for the wedding breakfast the next day, the Capel suite being so self contained, always someone to help if needed and much more that made it a great day for us.

We would highly recommend Castlemartyr.

We would genuinely reccommend Castlemartyr to anyone. We were looking for a venue that could offer a luxurious, relaxed atmosphere for us and our guests to enjoy and one that was professional and reputable enough such that planning the wedding would be as little stress and hassle as possible. We found that and more to be true of Castlemartyr.

The following became apparent right from our inital visit, when we first made our enquiries. The experience and warm nature of the team really fills you with confidence that your wedding day will be of the utmost quality, or at least it did for us and at every point thereafter we recieved 5 star treatment.

Every query or request we had was promptly answered and dealt with. And ours were few, because in fairness, they already had everything in hand. Our menu tasting experience only fuelled our excitement further, and we availed of a preferential B&B rate on that occasion too, which we would highly reccommend.

Everything about the day went as planned, in a seemless nature. I think when you are left with that impression, that everything is where and how it should be, but you have no idea who did it or when it was done - it goes to demonstrate the efficiency of the team in Castlemartyr.

We thank Sarah and Kay, and compliment the rest of the team on their super high standards - They are absolutely fantastic at what they do and lovely while they do it too! Moreover, our guests echo this, and havent stopped telling us so since the wedding!

Our wedding at Castlematyr was everything we wished for and more. Sarah was our wedding planner and she was absolutely fantastic to deal with. So helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure we had the best day. Some family members contracted covid just before the wedding and couldn't make it and the hotel went above and beyond to set up screens for them to be able to zoom the ceremony and the speeches. The venue itself is spectacular and the service we received from all of the staff was 5 star. We had a small wedding and we had the ceremony in the garden suite and the reception in the kiltha room, both rooms were stunning, and the food and wine was top notch. We can't wait to make many more return trips in the coming years.

We had an unbelievable experience with our wedding in Castlemartyr Resort. Everything about it was done with great care and the service was genuinely exceptional. We had the most wonderful wedding day in Castlemartyr. From start to finish the staff couldn't have treated us any better and everything went so perfectly on the day. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Jackie took care of every little detail and made sure our day was exactly what we wanted it to be. Her attention to detail was fantastic and she was such a great help in the lead up to the wedding as well as on the day itself. We had one change in wedding date and Jackie made sure this was never an issue for us and the change was very stress-free. We could not say more about the team in castlemartyr. Our coordinator Jackie was absolutely fantastic. Castlemartyr is the most fabulous venue and we are so thrilled we decided to have our wedding there. During the Covid pandemic over the last 1.5 years, the team have been so supportive and incredibly flexible in helping us to rearrange our wedding. We ended up postponing our wedding three times and with the help of Castlemartyr, the stress and worry was taken out of this for us as nothing was a problem for them and they helped us to plan around the restrictions. We cannot thank the staff enough for all their wonderful service, support and help throughout the planning of our big day, and of course for the amazing personal touches they provided on our wedding day. Although it was not the wedding we originally planned, Castlemartyr made sure we didn't feel hindered by restrictions and the day felt so relaxed and special. We wouldn't change a thing about the day and would have no hesitation in recommending Castlemartyr to family and friends.

Myself and Colin fell where married in CastleMartyr December 2020. It was an intimate wedding (restricted to max 25 at that time) but absolutely perfect. Even though the wedding was small there was no mistaking we got the royal treatment from Jackie and all the staff at the hotel from the moment we and our family arrived. Our whole family enjoyed the day and their extended stay in the hotel. The hotel exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere, not to mention top class facilities and food, the perfect combination for an intimate wedding breakaway. No need to leave with hotel spa hair and makeup, church 2 mins away, "the village florist", local cake makers and photographers....and not to mention resident piano player Mary who played through the evening?even some festive tunes for the little ones?..!! I would highly recommend the hotel for a wedding. Thank you to Jackie and all the staff for making our day everything we wanted, from Colin & Josephine.

I was very happy to have my wedding in the Castlemartyr hotel. Thanks very much to the wonderful team at Castlemartyr hotel for arranging everything. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and looked after us so well. We got ready in a very spacious bridal suite which I was very happy with. We managed to have the ceremony outside and everything was beautifully set-up. The wedding decor in the Living Room and Garden Room were also lovely. We booked a spa the next day and we were allowed to check out later in the afternoon which I really appreciated. I also enjoyed the lovely breakfast. I'll definitely go back for my one year anniversary next year.

We can?t thank Castlemartyr and their fantastic staff enough for the amazing effort they put in to give us an amazing wedding day. The quality, experience, and dedication of the entire team really shone through, especially with everything going on at present. From start to finish all of our guests felt very safe and comfortable, and Castlemartyr made our small intimate wedding into everything we could have hoped for. The grounds gave us the perfect setting for our photos, the Capel suite gave us a beautiful setting for our meal, and the staff delivered what we can only describe as a masterclass in customer service. Joe and I got married in Castlemartyr Resort on Saturday October 26th. From the very minute we booked Castlemartyr as our venue, they couldn?t have been more helpful and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. As we are not from the area, the night before the wedding several of our guests descended on the resort and had a fantastic evening in the Living Room where we all enjoyed Franchinis pizzas and drinks from the hugely helpful Khan and his staff. On the wedding day itself, they went above and beyond to ensure ourselves and our guests had the most fantastic day imaginable. A special mention has to go to our fantastic coordinator Elaine, nothing was ever a problem and we always had serious laughs when we got together also, she did everything she possibly could to ensure we had a magical day and we really did!The morning of the wedding was a little crazy as our photographer double booked us, but within seconds the Castlemartyr staff were on the phones and emails trying to sort it out and left no stone unturned until we had a photographer. We had the lovely Jason drive us to and from the venue to the church and he was an absolute gentleman and really calmed the nerves. Once the crisis was averted the day was truly spectacular, the service, the food, the atmosphere just everything was amazing and that is down to the professionalism and kindness of the staff at Castlemartyr. The food was absolutely fantastic and all of our guests are still talking about it?s sheer excellence. We got married in Castlemartyr in October and spent the weekend there Friday - Monday. From the moment we arrived we felt like royalty. We were introduced to all of the managers and staff and they made sure we were looked after all weekend. It was literally the best weekend of our lives!
Jackie Day was our wedding coordinator and nothing was ever an issue or a problem to her, she literally answered all of our questions within hours / days and always helped with suggestions and advice. She was a pleasure to deal with and so witty - a credit to Castlemartyr.
On Friday we had our church rehearsal and had family and friends stay over. Jackie booked out 'The Living Room' for us for the evening where we had finger food and drinks. The cocktails are absolutely amazing!
On the Saturday, the wedding morning, everyone was on hand to make sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond my expectations. Breakfast, brunch, prosecco and strawberries were brought to the room for me and my bridal party. Any last minute hiccups were sorted with ease and everything was just perfect.
The arrival reception provided for us and our guests was amazing; canapes, prosecco, cider punch. The evening 5-course meal was the highlight for many guests! The quality of the food was outstanding with steaks cooked absolutely perfectly.
On Sunday morning, we had our own banqueting room with table service breakfast for all of our guests, where the room was ours right up until 1pm. Guests used the leisure and spa facilities, ate in the bar, and had drinks in the bar for the day.
Our guests are still talking about the staff at Castlemartyr, how they were treated, and how they cannot wait to return for a future visit. Many said it was the best wedding venue they have ever been to. I cannot thank the staff at Castlemartyr enough, genuinely. It was the most perfect weekend and I think about it every day! Julie X x

My now husband and I had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding in Castlemartyr on the 19th of September this year.

From the very beginning going down to view and discuss every detail the staff were nothing but amazing. Always so welcoming kind and professional.

Every trip we had in the 18 month build up was just the highlight of our day and we always looked forward to it!

The pre wedding menu tasting was beyond indulgent. We took the time to stay the night and seriously enjoyed it. We could not wait for what was ahead.

Huge shout out though has to go to the greatest wedding planner- Elaine! We always came away with smiles on our faces and sore sides from laughing so hard with her she is just brilliant!

Patrick and I had the most amazing wedding day at Castlemartyr Resort on 13.09.2019. Our wedding coordinator Jackie Day was fantastic, not only in terms of her professionalism but also her flair and interest in all things weddings. She kept us on track throughout the process, answering all questions and most importantly kept us cool, calm and collected throughout when any anxieties or stresses arose.
Castlemartyr itself, in terms of venue was only spectacular and this was matched with great quality produce and attentive staff throughout our wedding day. Our guests too were highly complimentary of the food, which for an Irish wedding is an absolute must!

Having recently got married in Castlemartyr Hotel my husband and I could not recommend or rate the hotel highly enough. Jackie our coordinator was so professional and could not help us enough no matter our request. She was so helpful throughout the planning and gave us some lovely tips and advice on how to make our day even more special for our guests. The hotel speaks for itself in terms of style but it is it's staff that add to it being so warm and welcoming. The staff on the day of our wedding (as well as the many times we had visited beforehand) were just brilliant. They are down to earth, chatty and so accommodating. The hotel does really look after not only the bride and groom but all of the guests as well and we received so many nice compliments from our guests on how they were treated. You will not regeret it if you choose Castlemartyr Hotel as your wedding venue, we will always be thrilled that we chose this venue to get married and cannot wait to visit again.

From the first time we met Elaine at Castlemartyr we know that we had found the perfect venue for our wedding. Elaine was an absolute pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. Everything was made so easy when making decisions. The advice we got at our Tasting meal and when choosing our wine was second to none. We felt special from day one and every time we visited the hotel they couldn't do enough for us. On the day of our wedding Elaine and the team treated both us and our guests in the manner we had come to expect.

From the moment we booked I couldn?t fault anything about the Castlemartyr, staff were fantastic in every aspect of organising. My mum fell sick in the weeks leading up to the wedding and not attending, I hadn?t the time to deal with wedding issues and they more or less took over and I had nothing to worry about, leaving me have time to concentrate on my mum. The staff are literally what make this hotel so amazing, and made my wedding so perfect.

The setting at Castlemartyr is spectacular and served as the perfect backdrop for our outdoor Hindu wedding ceremony and wedding reception. We were blessed with the finest of warm weather on our special day and the picture-perfect sunkissed grounds made for magical photography opportunities which we will treasure forever.
Castlemartyr is a 5 star resort and we were treated as royals every step of our journey from the wedding planning stages right up to the special day. The staff were welcoming and at all times helpful and attentive. Our wedding coordinator Elaine was most approachable and friendly. She was, along with all the staff at Castlemartyr, most helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make our day special and memorable.
Our wedding day was unique and incorporated both a church ceremony and a Hindu ceremony. The Hindu ceremony was held outdoors within the grounds of Castlemartyr resort. The staff at Castlemartyr all worked incredibly hard to ensure that the setup of our Hindu ceremony was as we desired; the layout of the Mandap, the setup of the guest chairs by the fountain, the location of statues and Flowers etc . We didn?t need to worry, all was in capable hands.
Our guests very much enjoyed the well-presented drinks reception outdoors and commended the exquisite menu served in the magestic Capel suite.
The rooms were most comfortable and out of this world. Oh and as for the presidential suite one cannot find the right words: Wow simply wow !

We got married at Castlemartyr in July 2019 and had a wonderful wedding day. Jackie Day was our wedding coordinator, she was brilliant leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. The staff were incredible from the concierge, to the wedding / bar staff, they were all so helpful and made us feel very special. Too many people to even mention! From the moment of even considering Castlemartyr as an option, we were never going to go elsewhere; not only are the grounds and venue amazing but the staff were incredible at every stage from planning, to the evening itself, and since thereafter.

We have a young daughter who was with us one of the occasions we went to visit the hotel before the wedding and they treated our whole family with unbelievable generosity and kindness. Our wedding guests highlighted how amazing the experience and the food was on the day, not to mention the late breakfast the day after. We were made to feel special and I honestly couldn't fault anything. Living abroad, Jackie made the whole experience that much easier and pleasurable, coming up with ideas and overall reducing our stress levels! Now anytime we have a need to travel to Cork for any reason, Castlemartyr is always our first choice, we have stayed in contact with Jackie and the hotel, and even now they are as helpful as ever! Its a beautiful resort and I'd highly recommend Castlemartyr to anyone looking at wedding venues. They truly went above and beyond to make our day special, so much so we even had our guests comment on how great their staff were, along the food and facilities/resort.

Castlemartyr Resort was the perfect location for our wedding this summer! The entire team especially our wonderful coordinator Jackie Day made the whole experience incredibly enjoyable without any stress. No request was too big or too small and the entire team at Castlemartyr were welcoming and helpful throughout. The food is a particular highlight at Castlemartyr with many of our guests astonished at the extremely high standard. Rooms at the Resort are another highlight, again many of our guests were blown away by them. Overall, we would highly recommend Castlemartyr to any couple looking for a 5 star experience for their special day! We cannot wait for our next stay at the Resort!

The Castlemartyr far exceeded our expectations for our wedding. Ellen could not do enough for us leading up to the day and made the organising so stresa free and simple. Pur weddong meal was amazing and the room for the wedding was stunning. I would highly recommend the Castlemartyr for a wedding or any other big event!

We got married on 1st June 2019, and had our wedding reception in Castlemartyr Resort. I would highly recommend Castlemartyr as a wedding venue. I looked into quite a few venues before we picked here, and I am so happy with our choice.

Getting married the bank holiday weekend (and looking to prolong the celebrations as much as possible!) we decided to have a 3-day affair for our wedding. A major benefit to Castlemartyr is that it provided the ideal venue for this - we were able to have food and drinks with our guests in Castlemartyr both the night before the wedding, and the day after the wedding! Once we moved into Castlemartyr we did not have to leave - so even though our wedding was just 1 day, it felt like we got excellent value for money as we were actually around the venue for 4 days.

Castlematyr is the perfect wedding venue, for many reasons:

1 - Staff:
The staff at Castlemartyr are so friendly, helpful and professional. From as far back as when we were enquiring about having our wedding in Castlemartyr, to staying there for our Wedding Tasting, right up until our Wedding Day weekend, all staff were so courteous and pleasant to deal with. All of our guests also found the staff to be so friendly and polite, and excellent at their jobs.

2 - Wedding Planner:
When you book your wedding at Castlemartyr you are assigned a wedding planner - which is an excellent bonus. Our wedding planner was Elaine and she helped us with absolutely everything relating to the wedding reception. It was great to have someone there that you could rely on every step of the way. Elaine was a true professional, and it was clear that she loved her job which is nice to see. She went above and beyond for us!

3 - Grounds:
Castlemartyr Resort is a stunning venue - our wedding photos and wedding video look like something right out of a bridal magazine as ALL areas (hotel, garden, castle ruins, bridal suite) are so picturesque! Our videographer had a drone and the footage over the hotel grounds is just exceptional!

4 - Food:
All of our guests raved about the food served at our wedding. We went for the Sea Bass and Fillet Steak options for main course, and both went down a treat! Portions were very generous, and quality of the food was exceptional.

5 - Accommodation:
Castlemartyr offers an amazing choice of accommodation for guests. We decided to make our wedding in a 3-day affair. Many of our guests booked into the self-catering mews and lodges for three nights. This was a great option as it worked out excellent value. It was also ideal for families as there is ample space and the ability to prepare your own food for picky children! For our guests staying just one or two nights - most opted to stay in the fabulous hotel rooms. All hotel rooms in Castlemartyr are very impressive, and their breakfast spread is the best I have had in any 5 star hotel in Ireland.

6 - Bridal Suite:
The lavish bridal suite was the perfect location for getting ready the morning of the wedding. It was big enough for all the bridal party, and the perfect backdrop for my wedding prep photos!

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Castlemartyr to any couple looking for a 5 star wedding venue.
I cannot wait to go back to stay there again very soon!

We had our wedding last month in the wonderful Castlemartyr. Where Do I start firstly I want to mention Jackie Day our wedding coordinator she made the whole process so seamless and was so quick to respond to any emails I sent her with any queries or worries I had.
She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. No request was too big or small and the day went without a hitch because Jackie was behind the scenes making sure every thing ran so smoothly.
Myself and my husband were treated like the only couple getting married here from the day we choose the venue , our menu tasting etc.
All our guests are still raving about the food comparing it to a Michelin Star restaurant standard and there was also comments about wine was constantly topped up which is always a good thing to hear at an Irish wedding ;)
We felt that we got great value for money as there is so much included in the package and was worth every penny.
Our family and all our guests are were treated so well over the whole weekend we were there and we can't thank all the team at Castlemartyr enough. A special mention to Trevor also who was a star and a pure gent.

Amazing! We cannot thank our coordinators, Elaine and Kay, and all the staff at Castlemartyr enough for the kindness, courtesy and expertise shown to make our wedding day a day to remember. Castlemartyr Resort is spectacular with beautiful gardens and the staff were so welcoming. With the beautiful hotel and grounds we chose to do our photographs on site and they turned out beautiful and it also gave us more time to spend with our guests.

From the outset everyone was a pleasure to deal with, so enthusiastic and warm. Honestly, we could not have asked for a nicer, kinder and more hard working team of people to help us through our special day.

I can't stress enough how much I recommend Castlemartyr. We had our wedding there a couple of weeks ago, and the day couldn't of gone more perfectly. The staff were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and helpful, at a moments notice. Jackie and her team were so facilitating, nothing was too much trouble and the welcome that our guests also received was second to none. Everyone of our gusts commented on the quality of the food, the rooms and the atention to detail from the staff. The wedding room itself was absolutely perfect. No detail was overlooked and Jackie worked tirelessly along side us to make it the most special day of our lives. If you are looking for a wedding venue I 100% recommend Castlemartyr!!!

My husband and I are based in Australia. From the moment I enquired with Castlemartyr they went above and beyond to ensure everything was attended to promptly despite the time difference and being so far away. Jackie Day was our wedding coordinator and she couldn?t have been more accommodating if she tried. The whole planning process was smooth and easy. She was helpful, attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble. We had people pull out of the wedding the day before the big day which meant we had to change the table plan at the very last minute (7.30pm the night before the wedding) and Jackie was extremely understanding and made sure the final arrangements were attended to without any hassle. The big day itself was everything and more anyone could ever dream of and that was down to the venue. The staff and venue itself are exquisite.

The team in Castlemartyr were wonderful to deal with, they went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed for our special day. The food was gorgeous and the grounds were stunning for our photographs. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Castlemartyr is such a wonderful venue and we enjoyed every minute of our wedding here! Just a short drive from Cork city but you feel like you are a million miles away. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for photographs on the day which allowed us to maximise our time at the drinks reception mingling with our guests. Last September we had our wedding reception at Castlemartyr Resort Hotel. From the very first day we met with Jackie, her professionalism, knowledge and advise on weddings swayed us immediately. So we knew we just had to book it! In the lead up and on the day itself, all of the staff were fantastic. We were very lucky along with our families and friends to have booked in for 3 nights. The whole weekend was fantastic and it was down to the service that all of the staff provided. They couldn't have done enough for us. I would highly recommend Castlemartyr to anyone who is getting married.

We chose Castlemartyr Resort for our wedding as it met all the Criteria we were looking for; amazing grounds for photo opportunities, indoor and outdoor options for wedding drinks reception, stunning ballroom, spacious rooms, beautiful decor, top class service and of course a golf course! When we started our wedding venue hunt, near the top of the checklist was that the venue needed have options for self catering as over 50% of our wedding guests were travelling from abroad. This meant that guests could stay for a whole weekend and enjoy a trip away. The self catering lodges were great value for money and all our guests commented how happy they were with the accomodation options. From the moment we arrived the day before the wedding the staff were amazing and could not do enough for you. Everything is seamless and they accommodate any request you have with ease. Danielle was so helpful from the moment we arrived, she goes above and beyond to make sure everything is covered. Also big thanks to Kay for making sure the service at dinner and the evening reception ran perfectly. We would not hesitate to recommend Castlemartyr as a wedding venue for a weekend event!

Castlemarytr Resort was the first and only hotel we viewed prior to booking our wedding. We knew nothing else would compare. We were extremely fortunate to have Jackie Day as our wedding planner. Jackie was hands on from start to finish. Going above and beyond was a regularly occurrence. We visited the hotel regularly on the build up to the wedding and we would always comment on how friendly and professional the staff were. I stayed in the hotels presidential suite the night before the wedding an unexpected surprise. The experience exceeded all my expectations. Our guests still talk about the beautiful food and the hotel itself this is all true however it was the staff that made our day. A truelly magical place with the most amazing team of people. I would highly recommend Castlemarytr Resort.

Our wedding as Castlemartyr was the best experience I could have ever imagined. They went above and beyond in every way possible in making our day, and our entire stay in Castlemartyr absolutely perfect.
I would highly recommend getting married in Castlemartyr as I truly don't believe that anyone could plan and execute a wedding as well as they do.
Even the smallest of details were carried out to perfection. Our wedding flowers were transported to our second-day venue without us even having to ask. They seemed to preempt the questions and problems that could arise before they ever did. It was a truely exceptional service.

We chose Castlemartyr resort hotel as our wedding venue and we were so delighted with our decision. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day for our wedding so we had our ceremony outside with the ruins of a castle in the back drop!! I never thought that would be possible in Ireland but it happened! There was no stress though as the castlemartyr team had a rainy day backup plan in situ that we could have gone with too if needed. We stayed in the hotel the night before and got ready with our bridal party in one of the suites so there was no time pressure on the day. When it came to organising the wedding and the day itself the two girls Danielle and Jackie were amazing! Danielle had the day all laid out, and worried about the little but important things so we were able to totally relax and just enjoy ourselves. I couldn?t recommend this venue more highly!

I do not know where to start when it comes to trying to put into words the gratitude I have for Jackie Day, Trevor and all the staff at Castlemartyr who made our wedding the most magical day of our lives! I am living in Paris, and everyone commented on how stressful it must be to plan a wedding from abroad... but thanks to the efficiency and professionalism from Jackie and her team it was not one bit stressful, in fact we had so much fun! Jackie always made time to fit in a chat when I was home, even late on Friday evenings when we were driving home from the airport. In our meetings Jackie always had lots of suggestions, tips and tricks to help ensure our day was everything we wanted and organised efficiently. Whatsmore she is funny and kind; really becoming one of the team when my mum and I would sit with her. She is extremely patient, and never minded when we changed our minds about something only gently reminding us about things we should be doing but never put any pressure with deadlines.
The setting itself is just beautiful, and although we were blessed with sunshine on our day, Castlemartyr also have options to set up indoors if needed. The grounds being as extensive as they are, and stunning all over also means that your photos will be fabulous no matter where you take them and your photographer can choose the location which is best on the given day.
The Capel suite dining room is beautiful. Its simple, tasteful decoration allows lots of space for each couple to add as much of a personal touch as they wish. The food itself was just delicious, all of our guests commented on how good it was. The staff are so attentive to the needs of the guests that I found out a few days later that one of my guests had a headache during dinner and went to her room to lie down. Shortly after arriving at the room the catering staff had arranged for the guest to have her meal sent to her room.
It was lovely to catch up with our guests again in the private breakfast room during the late breakfast for the wedding party. The staff had even thought to bring one of our jumbo balloons down and decorate outside the breakfast door! Although it was a late night for most, all of the guests were still talking about the wonderful time they were having, the beautiful spacious rooms and their plans to go and make the most of the spa or golf facilities for a while.
I cannot even imagine what time it was when the tidy up was being done after our wedding, but by morning every piece of decor and any other belongings that had been found had been carefully gathered and the porters helped us pack up three carloads.

We married on Friday 3rd of August 2018. There were two more weddings in the days that followed and I am sure there are at least 2 or 3 every week of the year. The most amazing thing about Jackie and all the team at Castlemartyr is how despite all the brides they see each week, when it was my day, and from the moment I booked my wedding, I was made to feel as though we were the only couple to every get married there, as if our wedding was the only thing that mattered in the world.
I am so glad that I chose Castlemartyr as my wedding venue. I look forward to visiting with my husband to relive our memories and would have no hesitation in recommending Castlemartyr to everyone!!!

Amazing venue, Amazing food, Amazing attention to detail, Amazing Jackie Day (our wedding Coordinator)

From initial viewing right through to our wedding day almost two years later, Jackie and her team at Castlemartyr were outstandingly organised, professional and facilitating. With so many different elements and vendors to coordinate and organise, we never worried once about the venue or its offerings. Thankfully, all of our guests, most of whom stayed at the venue for a few days could not praise it enough. The personal service provided to each of our guests coupled with the beautifully presented rooms, grounds and facilities ensured that our wedding lived up to our high expectations. We could not recommend this venue enough.

Jackie, Trevor and all the Castlemartyr team couldn?t have been more helpful. On our wedding day we felt quite relaxed as we knew Jackie had everything covered. From the first day we met Jackie, the meal tasting to our wedding day Jackie was a breath of fresh air and nothing was ever too much trouble. We enjoyed every minute of our wedding planning with Jackie and we were thrilled with everything on our wedding day! We would recommend Jackie and her team to all of our friends.

What a great venue to have our wedding. We were very well treated by all of the staff at Castlemartyr. Myself and my now wife are living in Canada and it?s difficult enough to organize a wedding in your home country never mind living abroad. Jackie the hotels wedding planner is by far the nicest person you could ever meet. She was so helpful in organizing our wedding day and no pressure was put on us at all. If we could do it all over again we would....but only if we could do it again in Castlemartyr. In my opinion and I have stayed at several big named hotels in Ireland, Castlemartyr is by far the nicest and most customer friendly hotel in all of the land. You will not be disappointed if this is your chosen location. The scenery and hotel grounds are spectacular.

Looking at the other amazing reviews on here I can see I?m yet another happy Castlemartyr bride still raving about the fanatstic experience me and my husband had on our wedding day in June 2018. The whole experience was 5 stars from start to end. We were hooked from the moment we drove up the beautiful avenue for our appointment when we were venue hunting. It?s the little touches of class that make you and your husband to be feel special. Our wedding planner Jackie Day is pretty much an institution in her own right. She was superb at guiding us through the planning process and was so quick to respond to emails with helpful suggestions and solutions. The food on the day was beautiful, the wine was delicious and flowing and the staff were incredibly attentive. The late breakfast the morning after in a private room with your wedding guests is just the best idea. It was so lovely the next morning sitting at round tables reliving the night before. It makes me whistful even now thinking back on our magical weekend there. I could not imagine myself getting married anywhere else. We were back in the hotel bar for a drink recently and the bar manager recognised us and the drinks were on the house. It?s these small touches that make it the venue it is. I couldn?t recommend Castlemartyr enough and I can?t thank them enough for giving us such a wonderful day.

The venue: it goes without saying that the grounds and interior of the hotel are stunning and provide a wonderful atmosphere for guests and a backdrop for your photos that is second to none. A second plus to the venue itself is the Capel Suite is on the complete other side of the hotel to the hotel bar - which limits the opportunities for strangers to have a nose in at your wedding. Furthermore, the residents' bar is in the Capel Suite where you've been all evening. For a wedding like ours, where a sing-song was always going to be on the cards, this had two benefits (i) we didn't lose our crowd as people were not thrown out of the ballroom and (ii) your sing-song is not disturbing the guests in the residents' bar and the guests in the residents' bar are not disturbing your sing-song - your residents' bar is exclusive to your wedding guests. Third benefit: the hotel provides a late breakfast for wedding guests until 12 noon and this breakfast is provided in a separate room which means the loud dissection of the previous day's events is kept private with your guests.
The beauty of the venue speaks for itself, however, it's the people that make your experience. From the moment we met Jackie, we knew we were in safe hands. I had been to other venues and the attitude of some wedding co-ordinators had really turned us off the venue itself. From start to finish, I could not fault the service we received from the wedding team at Castlemartyr. There truly was nothing that could not be done for us. Absolutely nothing was a problem. When we could not decide on a starter or dessert, we were given a second tasting. When I wondered how my 88-year-old grandmother would make the walk from the reception to the Capel Suite, Jackie organised a golf buggy to transport her - which she LOVED. Jackie helped us with every request to put our personal stamp on the day. Nothing we said and no idea we had was forgotten. In fact Jackie did our wedding thinking for us in the last week when our brains were over-run with all the last-minute jobs. She was also very patient with us as we agonised over details up to the day before in some instances.
The day itself was flawless. We received a warm welcome from Jackie and Brendan on arrival, the drinks reception set-up was exceptionally aesthetically pleasing with the complimentary sangria being the piece de resistance. The quality of the food was second to none. Our guests raved about dinner and the finesse with which it was served. We were looked after exceptionally well by the catering team with Kay at their helm. We were kept in the loop at all times about the beverages that we were covering which allowed us to control our budget as we saw fit. Both Jackie and Kay went above and beyond, doing little jobs that we could not get around to ourselves as we were enjoying the day with our guests.
A lot of couples don't realise until the day after the wedding that the logistics of the wedding continue the day after. At 4am in the morning, Kayleigh was present collecting, according to her list, every little bit of the decor which we had provided. Everything belonging to us was packed carefully and gathered in a little room which allowed for a smooth check-out with no running around looking for everything. The porters treated our belongings with care and made as many trips as were necessary to help us pack up our car. Our flowers had been kept to adorn the private breakfast room and were available for us to distribute to guests as we wished.
Separate from the wedding itself, staying in the hotel was an absolute pleasure. Not one member of staff could be faulted, they were each and every one a joy. On check-out, somebody stopped what they were doing to ask if they could help me with bags. I honestly can't praise the hotel staff highly enough. It was from the moment we arrived, what can only be described as a wonderful experience.
There are presumably weddings taking place at the Resort two to three times a week and this shows in the experience and professionalism of the staff in the planning and preparation of the day. However, on the day, we were made to feel as though we were the only couple who had ever got married here, the sole focus. We are so glad to live near the resort so that we can come and relive our wonderful memories whenever the mood takes us!

It's been just over two months since our wedding in the Castlemartyr Resort. On reflection we thoroughly had an amazing day. The food was incredible, we got a lot of complements from the guests on the quality, service and variation on the menu.
In the lead up to the wedding the staff mainly Jackie could not have been better in helping us plan the day. She was always very responsive, has great attention to detail and was really pleasant to deal with.
The venue itself was perfect. Blending the old with the new, we felt the venue gave us the best of both. There's a nice flow to the place from the reception entrance with the adjacent terrace to the modern main ballroom.

We had our wedding last month in Castlemartyr and I can only say that they were exceptional. Jackie Day is the wedding coorindator that we dealt with and she is absolutely fantastic.

Throughout the planning and organisation stages the staff at Castlemartyr were so helpful, thinking of things that hadn't even occurred to me, suggesting ways to personalise the day.
The days before the wedding storm Emma and the beast from the east struck and covered everywhere in snow. I was regularly updated by the wedding coordinators as to the hotels ability help us in any way they could.
The night before the wedding the staff went to great lengths to make sure my family and I made it safely to the hotel. We When my hairdresser cancelled the day before the wedding as it was unsafe to drive, the brilliant Jackie (wedding coordinator) booked a local hair dresser for me and my wedding party and arranged transport through the snow slush. Due to the weather there were so many last minute changes, including moving the ceremony venue to the hotel, all of this happened so smoothly and without any fuss or stress.
I don't think any other venue and team could have handled all the hiccups we had and ensured everything was flawless in the end!

We were planning our wedding from Vancouver. While home for an unexpected trip we decided to stop by some hotels to have a look around and get a feel for where might be a good venue for us.
From the 1st day we set foot in Castlemartyr we were greeted with a warm welcome, just hoping to have a look around and the porters happily obliged. Jackie Day our wedding coordinator, had clients, but promised a swift follow up, and sure enough a few hours later we had an email from her with details of how the wedding process works in Castlemartyr and an offer to contact us via phone for any questions.

Planning a wedding from afar, this is the kind of service you are looking for, someone who follows up when they say they will and provides help and support on best practices and great local suppliers.

The day itself was incredible, we were able to move the drinks reception to the outside as it was a stunning day, the arrival welcome was flawless, and our guests felt well looked after and had plenty of food and drinks to keep them entertained. I had not arranged music for this portion, but at the last hour decided we wanted someone and Jackie arranged a local Pianist to come and play for the reception. It was perfect background, mingling music. We had a team of staff ready to assist as needed, extra plates of food waiting for us after we arrived, so we would not go hungry, we got a sneak peek at the chapel suite, and whisked away for a quiet drink by ourselves, so we could get a half hour to ourselves during the day.

Dinner was incredible, the staff did a wonderful job setting us up for our arrival walk in, the catering for a large number of vegetarians / Coeliac's. Everything was labelled appropriately and all of the guests commented on how great the food was.
Our only piece of feedback was after the desert, the transition from dinner to evening could have been a bit smoother. My husband and myself had to run around a bit to get some pieces sorted as the staff available were unsure of what to do, I think the day had run a half hour late (our fault due to pictures), so perhaps the duty manager had finished and the banqueting team were unsure of transition process.

Other than that, the venue was great for a smaller wedding (we had 92) and the room still felt full when the dancing started. There was lovely evening fayre food brought on around 11.30pm, and having the residents bar in the suite was great as it kept everyone together. One of the best bits was the morning after we had a dedicated breakfast room, where all the guests gathered until 12pm and talked about the wedding, it was so relaxed and a wonderful way to spend the next morning.

We thought the team there did an incredible job, we would highly recommend the venue as it is spectacular and the staff were so friendly and polite. All our guests commented on how this was one of the best wedding venues they had ever been too for food, staff and location.

Castlemartyr Resort provided first class service for our wedding day. We're still receiving high praise for the food, venue and the staff from our guests.
We would not hesitate to recommend this venue to friends, to host their weddings here. It really went beyond our expectations. We'd love to be able to do it all over again in Castlemartyr :)

Could not say enough about Castlemartyr, from start to finish they were exceptional. We organised the wedding from outside Ireland, our co-ordinator was super responsive by email. On the day and afterwards we had countless guests telling us how fabulous the service was - one of the staff even loaned one of our guests his tie! Another friend had an early flight to catch and the staff arranged a car from door to door. Fantastic service, amazing staff, delicious food and a beautiful venue.

We had the most amazing experience in Castlemartyr, every time we visited before the wedding everyone was so friendly and by the time it came I felt like it was my second home.Our suite was stunning and all our guests commented on the beautiful rooms and food. From the moment we met Jackie Day and her team at Castlemartyr Resort they couldn?t have done enough for us. Nothing was too small or too big when asked. The attention to details was impeccable and every idea was welcomed and incorporated into our day.
The planning process was so stress free and everything was flawless. Jackie Day liaised with all our suppliers and coordinated our wedding for the three days.
The staff are absolutely brilliant with a five star attitude, so helpful and genuinely care that we got what we desired before, on the day and after. There are so many extras they did for us that was not factored in and we only realised after this had been done which made it more magical.

The Ballroom was fabulous and looked amazing along with the most unbelievable delicious food I have ever tasted. From the moment we stepped foot in Castlemartyr Resort, we felt so welcomed and at home. Jackie and Trevor were absolutely amazing and we can't praise them highly enough for their professionalism, dedication and kindness to us throughout the whole planning process. They really couldn't do enough for us! In the days leading up to our wedding, I felt like Jackie was my PR, she had every detail of our wedding off and had the room set up exactly how I imagined it to be! She even put the batteries into the fairy lights. Nothing was ever a problem and every wish was fulfilled without fail.
Furthermore on our wedding day, Kay ensured that everything ran smoothly and was there overseeing everything to the last detail. Every member of staff looked after our every need. Everyone commented on how they loved the food and described it as a fairytale wedding. We found it so difficult to leave the presidential suite, that we stayed 3 more days then planned! (6 in total as I got ready there too!) On the morning of the wedding, there was plenty of space for my whole family, and bridal party to relax and get ready (10 people). Looking back, it was like a dream come true!

We had our stunning outdoor ceremony on a beautiful summer's day on July 8, 2017 in front of the Castlemartyr castle ruins. We can't thank Danielle and her team enough for the seamless way the ceremony went and how there was transport for our bridesmaids and for my Dad and I just to make us feel extra special. They also looked after my mother, who isn't well and has to use a wheelchair, by driving her and collecting her after the ceremony, so thoughtful and so very kind to her. I was especially nervous and Danielle and Sian were so good at putting me at ease before journeying over to the ruins! The bridesmaids and I had to change our outfits as we were having a cultural theme - both Bengali and Irish - to represent both our backgrounds, and the timing and ensuring everything went smoothly before the dinner, was fantastic. All our personal touches were everywhere in the drinks reception, hallway and corridors and we were delighted at the feedback from guests. Our only criticism was during the dinner as there didnt seem to be any banquet manager on duty to liase with us so both my husband and I did have to try and track down someone to see about the microphone for speeches, and to see where our props were after dinner. This could have been an easy oversight though and the waiters and waitresses were impeccable and did everything they could for us and the young barmen couldnt do enough for us. I must add that Danielle was looking after and in attendance on the day before the wedding also for the bridesmaids and I and ensured any spa treatments or requirements were catered for also.
All-in-all the service is absolutely excellent, the food and drinks were amazing, the venue is exceptional and everything we could have ever imagined as our perfect wedding day was above our families' and friends and our expectations so thank you so much to Danielle and the team, and to Trevor for the sweet touch when we were leaving with the farewell teddy bear, really put a warm smile on our faces after a fantastic weekend!!

Our wedding experience, covering every aspect of service delivery, was simply perfect. Every query was managed and responded to efficiently through a dedicated point of contact. Our most wonderful day ran seamlessly thanks to Castlemartyr's experienced team who are utterly professional in their approach while exuding a warm and friendly approach. With a large diverse seasonal menu to chose from - one is spoilt for choice. Our guests not only loved the array of fine foods but were surprised by the generosity of portions. And what a setting for those wedding photos!! We have some beautiful pictures on the grounds which are meticulously maintained. We got married in Castlrmartyr Resort in June 2017 and they gave us the best wedding day we could ever have imagined! The location is very good, close to the coast with plenty of beautiful churches nearby providing great photo opportunities. It was a very sunny day so our drinks reception was held in the gardens and our guests loved it! We booked the in house pianist and she was fantastic. The meal and ballroom both exceeded expectations. The additional houses available on the grounds were affordable and our guests were very happy with them. The staff were very professional and from the moment we booked they were on hand to advise about any special requests - From tayto carts, to local hairdressers and dry cleaners to get the wedding dress steamed. Management were always available but never intrusive, we were advised throughout the day where we should be and what to do - so we could simply enjoy ourselves. We booked the honeymoon suite again for day 2 allowing us more time to relax and enjoy this amazing venue even more!

My Husband and I had the pleasure of getting married in Castlemartyr Resort in June 2017 and I am so delighted we chose it as a venue for so many reasons. We currently live in Australia but chose to get married back in Ireland. For us, securing a venue and being comfortable with a team and organiser who would look after our every need from afar while keeping us informed at all times was extremely important to us. Let's just say Jackie Day and her team at Castlemartyr were second to none in this regard.

Jackie has the immense ability to make you feel you are the only Bride and Groom getting married in their venue in the year. She makes you feel uniquely special in every way. In reality I'm sure she caters for hundreds of couples over the course of the year but we never felt like we were in a larger group or in a que! Her attention to detail, professionalism, speed at responding to you, receptiveness for accepting feedback, flexibility and above all her gentle and humorous personality meant working with Jackie and her team was an absolute pleasure. She made organising a wedding from Australia a completely seamless and positive experience. I initially envisaged it to be a nightmare but was completely wrong.

Jackie?s extended team were also a delight to deal with in particular Trevor at front of house, the banqueting Manager (whose name fails me) and her team. My husband and I were delighted to hear so many positive feedback and stories from our many guests, many who had travelled from afar, over the course of the weekend about how great quality the food was, the large hot portions they were served and the attentiveness of the wait staff. The size of all guest bedrooms were also very well received! Making sure our guests were well looked after was important to us so we were delighted to hear this.

Finally, the grounds in Castlemartyr speak for themselves. What better setting could you have for your wedding photos. The team at the Resort do a fantastic job at maintaining these, both inside and out, at all time to ensure they are picture perfect on the day. We are lucky to now have great memories and pictures of our day taken both inside the old Manor House, around the Castle ruins and in the gardens.

I would whole heartedly advise anyone to choose Castlemartyr as their wedding venue. If you are looking for a beautiful setting, an ?A Class? team and a uniquely special personal low stress experience then in my opinion you should look no further. I will always be grateful to Jackie and her team for giving us, our families and our friends a very special day!

We got married 2.6.17 here at Castlemartyr , from the stunning venue , the elegance that is the function room , the food from the wide variety of canap?s down to the meal , mouth watering. The staff can not do enough , I got so caught up in the moment and stupidly miss placed my bag, the staff went above and beyond to get it and so they did , hidden behind a tree !!.Nothing was ever a issue or a drama and I have to thank Danielle or wedding coordinator an absolute dream to work with , so efficient and worked to helping create the most magical memorable day of our lives and for that I cannot recommend her and all staff at castlemartyr . Fantastic venue! Pricey but you definitely receive 5 star service. Food was excellent. The rooms are stunning. Jackie is an amazing wedding planner. She was very prompt and accurate with things. She really helped ease the stress!

We are so thankful that we chose Castlemartyr as our wedding venue. The hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning. The Knights Bar and terrace are the perfect setting for a cocktail reception. The Capel Suite is so beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. But it is the staff that make this venue truly special. From start to finish they made us and our guests feel so welcome and comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they even returned the groomsmen's tuxes to Cork for us! Danielle was truly incredible throughout the planning process and on the day itself. She put our minds at ease throughout the planning and nothing was ever a bother for her. Kay was fantastic and ensured the night went off without a problem. The day after our guests played golf and we had a bbq in the club house. Myself and my husband can't recommend Castlemartyr highly enough. We had a fantastic day. The staff were incredibly professional and accommodating. From the moment we checked in your team couldn't have been more obliging and the courtesy and professionalism they offered us and our guests and suppliers was sublime.

There are a few individuals that really stood out and we would be grateful if you could please pass on our thanks to them:

Leeann - at the front desk, smiled from start to finish and I am sure was sick of the sight of us by the time we departed. Any guest information we needed was no problem and taxis, flowers etc were organised within minutes. On Friday she really impressed me as I sat and watched the amount of guests she was processing through the resort single handedly like it was second nature.

Jason- Porter Staff. Jason escorted a mountain of luggage, wine, props etc from last Monday when we began to move in to the resort. He must have covered a lot of mileage up and down those corridors over the weekend escorting us and our guests luggage. Nothing was a problem and whenever he spotted us he jumped straight in to help.

Lucia - In Franchini's. Lucia looked after us for dinner on the Thursday night and again served Sarah and I on the Monday evening as it was all coming to an end. Her Professionalism and Friendly Service was exquisite and although she will agree I was probably a pain, requesting different wines, changing meals etc. it was done effortlessly. She is a credit to the restaurant and we look forward to hearing how she got on on her Portugal holiday when we return.

Khan - In the Bar. Khan explained how he was relatively new to the resort, and looked after our drinks and singlehandedly served us on the Sunday when we sat in the living room with our remaining friends and family. Nothing was an issue and he ensured all guests were topped up at all times. We never had to go looking for anything and when serving so many guests he never once had to be reminded of our drink order. He made sure Grey Goose and Hendricks were on ice at all times. I have no doubt he will go far in the resort.

Danielle - Wedding Coordinator. Danielle was a pleasure to work with. From our very first encounter 1 week after we got engaged right up to her lovely email earlier today. A true credit to the resort. We began making a wedding destination short list in April last year and Castlemartytr was only the second hotel we visited. We weren't through the front door when we knew that was it, here is where the wedding was to be. From the emails to the several trips we made throughout 2016 and earlier this year nothing was a problem and any concerns we raised were quickly sorted and put to bed. We look forward to meeting her again when we return.

Kay - Manager. Our first encounter of Kay was Friday as she was frantically running around the Caple Suite ensuring all details were covered. On the Saturday she was there from start to finish ensuring all the guests were looked after and the top table was served to perfection. On Sunday, she could not have been more supportive as we requested last minute a casual meal for 30 guests. No stone was unturned and I am sure the kitchen were cursing her and us. Mother's Day all restaurants full, Large tours checking in and still Kay had us sorted within 30 minutes. The living room a perfect venue and we were able to sit and reflect on the night before until the early hours of Monday uninterrupted. A True Professional who we will never forget.

Trevor - Manager. Trevor came to find us in the garden as we were enjoying our first glass of wine on Thursday. Never before has a hotel manager made a more special and lasting impression. He happily shared his mobile number and told us to call day or night if we had any questions, queries or just needed to talk things through. For the entire weekend he ensured everything was in order and anytime any the the wedding party past him he took a few minutes to gain feedback and ensure we were happy. Room lighting problems were sorted by him personally on Monday evening and he even found the time to join us on our last night for a cup of tea to hear any feedback we had. We will be sure to make him aware in advance the next time we visit and hopefully will be able to enjoy a drink with him again.

The above is only the tip of the iceberg and we hope we will pass on our thanks to the rest of your team. From the Spa, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Banqueting, Restaurant, Reservations etc. no body could truly have done any more for us.

The only constructive feedback I can share from the weekend, is the air conditioning in the Caple Suite should be relooked at as no matter how many times your team tried there was only two settings on or off and it was impossible to maintain one temperature. However, that fades into insignificance as for us the weekend could have not been more perfect.

The Castlemartyr Resort, has become a truly special resort for us and we look forward to returning for the many years ahead.

As we drove by the golf course, via the splendid rural setting with its beautiful shimmering lake and rustic fortress ruins we instantly fell in love with the stunning Castlemartyr. With huge luxurious rooms, a relaxing Spa and modern gym facilities we had all the amenities we could want. The Knights Bar is both regal and cosy at once and easily catered for the 160 guests at our wedding.

The personnel, including our wedding planner Jackie Day are beyond professional. We are indebted to them for all their help and assistance, weddings do not happen without the support of a talented team and the staff of castlemartyr are the best.

The day after the wedding our guests availed of a late breakfast in the specially allocated brunch room ? serving breakfast to 12:00 is god sent after an night of merriment. All in all, Castlemartyr is a must if you are considering your nuptials. A very Special thank you to Jackie Day for everything she did for us... she is just superb!

Planning a wedding comes with many stresses and the job is an even bigger task when you are organising a wedding abroad. Castlemartyr Resort was our first choice of venue and from the moment we saw it, we knew it was perfect for our wedding. We had to make some last minute changes to our wedding 48 hours before the wedding. We were due to get married in a church, however, due to an injury, everything had to change at the last minute. The wedding executive, alongside her team, worked hard over the hours leading up to our wedding to make everything perfect. The staff here are professional, friendly and so helpful. They created the perfect day for us and our guests and without a doubt our wedding will be one remembered by everyone that attended for years to come.

We loved everything about our wedding weekend at Castlemartyr! The service was fantastic from start to finish. Danielle was superb as our wedding planner and all of the staff could not do enough for us and our guests on the day. The venue is so special and we were super lucky with the weather so we got the full value of the beautiful gardens during our drinks reception. We have received so many compliments from all of our guests about Castlemartyr, they all felt like they had a mini luxury holiday! Being a photographer, we are here quite often during the year and find the Hotel Staff very professional, helpful and provide an excellent service. We have also being here as guests at my cousins wedding. We enjoyed it so much that we took our families back for our daughters Confirmation. While working with The Wedding Journey Magazine, Castlemartyr was chosen for a location shoot to exhibit companies from all over Munster. Beautiful location with amazing settings for photographs.

Jackie our wedding co-ordinator is definitely the best out there. Her attention to detail, her ability to manage and co-ordinate everything is way above par. She made our experience so special. The minute we got to the hotel for the wedding she demanded we hand everything over to her and go to relax! She was so accommodating in helping us organise our wedding from abroad. She always got back to us so quickly and went above and beyond to be helpful. She is such an asset to Castlemartyr and I would recommend her 500%!

From the moment we made contact with Castlemartyr, we knew that this was a special place. We had heard many reviews from people about how amazing the grounds and hotel were, however, once we started emailing Jackie, the wedding coordinator, we realised how amazing the staff were. We live in New Zealand, so it was very important to us to be able to deal with someone both professional and understanding of our situation, being so far away from the venue and Ireland.

Jackie made the whole process so easy, sending up to date run sheets with the days activites, along with suggestions for nearby churches, accommodation, suppliers, etc. We were able to do our menu tasting about 9 months before the wedding and this plus the accommodation was amazing. We knew then for sure that we had made the right choice.

On the day of the wedding we couldn't have asked for better weather, which really made the day for us, as it meant we were able to avail of the beautiful grounds for our drinks reception and pictures. The drinks and canepes were flowing, with everyone feeling like they were being well looked after by the staff; they were really attentive with all of our guests.

Once dinner was called Terrance the reception manager took over and again looked after everything with a great air of professionalism, even staying past his shift to stay and listen to the band.

Jackie, Terance and all of the staff were just wonderful, extremely professional and so pleasent whenever we were dealing with them, even when just passing in the hall way.

Definitely a 5 star experience.

The 12th of March 2016 was the date of our magical wedding in the luxurious Castlemartyr Hotel. It was more wonderful than we could possibly imagine and attempting to put the experience in words proves a difficult task.

During October 2015 we dropped into the Castlemartyr hotel for afternoon tea. My fianc? Paul knew the hotel and all its beauty, but for me it was all new. We were fortunate to have met Rebecca and at short notice we were given a tour of the function rooms and bedrooms. The character, style history and elegance of the hotel won my heart. By the time we got to the ballroom I was completely overwhelmed and the tears began. There was no doubt in my mind we had found our venue.

We contacted Jackie Day, the hotels wedding coordinator within days, and arranged another viewing, which confirmed our feelings that this was the venue. We discussed availability and were given further information as to packages available. It was wonderful, the service was without doubt first class.

Jackie was an enormous support to us throughout the process, taking time to listen to our requests, help us in our final decision making and coordinate with our florist and others as needed.

Family, friends, Paul and I all checked in the day before the wedding. I stayed in room number two, a suite fit for royalty with walls decorated in silk. In the excitement and without a booking on Friday evening we went late to Franchini's restaurant, here we were made to feel so welcome and special with truly beautiful food. I cannot emphasise enough just how person centred the staff were, truly lovely people.

The wedding day could not have been more beautiful. The staff pulled out all the stops and the magic was felt by everyone who joined us. We were fortunate the sun was shining which allowed us wander and take photos in the magnificent vast gardens. It also facilitated time for the children to use up some of their energies.

We and our guests enjoyed the drinks reception, we were served canopies and prosecco. No surprise all were delighted.
The meal itself was flawless and the service superb. We took a moment during the meal to recognise how lucky we were to have this beautiful opportunity.
Only two weeks after the weeding I spoke with my niece, she is 13, this was her first wedding. She told me she regularly texts her cousin to talk about the day. She said that she cried on the way home after the wedding as she didn?t want it to be over. She wished we could do it all again and there was no questioning her conviction but she was having her wedding here also.

On reflection, I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to enjoy without question the best day of my life in Castlemartyr hotel.

Working in hospitality, we were both very picky about what we wanted for our wedding but from the very beginning we knew that Castlemartyr was the place for us! Their attention to detail and level of service are second to none. They thought of everything and were very helpful in the run up to the wedding. On the day itself the service was excellent and felt very effortless-creating a really nice relaxing atmosphere on the day. The quality of food is excellent and I had guests tell me it was the best food they had ever had which was lovely. About 40mins before the ceremony was due to start I discovered that the hem on my dress hadn't been taken up as it was supposed to have done, resulting in my bridesmaids frantically asking reception for all the sewing kits they could give us, unbeknowst to us they called out a local seamstress to help us. That's the thing about Castlemartyr -their staff will do everything they can to make your day perfect and that's what makes them truly exceptional.

Exceptional service in beautiful surroundings. Sian, our wedding planner, was fantastic. Everything went perfectly and we immensely enjoyed our day!

Absolutely amazing amazing amazing from start to finish! Best weekend of our lives... From the service, the food the ambiance right through to the rooms everything was top class. We had a second night in the Kiltha Suite with dancing in the golf club and again everything was done to perfection. Cannot recommend Castlemartyr enough for a wedding!

I would highly recommend newly engaged couples to consider Castlemayter Resort. Once they meet Hazel (our wedding planner) and her team, look around the grounds and sample the food they will be sold. "Amazing" is an understatement to explain our day, thank you to Hazel and her team at Castlemayter.

The Castlemartyr Hotel is a 5 star hotel- and we definitely received 5 star service from Jackie and her team. Our friends and family were absolutely bowled over by the staff at the Castlemartyr- in the lead up to the wedding, during the wedding and after. Everybody was made to feel so welcome (including our younger guests- our nephew being completely fussed over by the staff and being given his very own Castlemartyr teddy bear and how helpful Jackie was with arrangements for my sister who has special needs). So many of our guests commented that it was the best hotel they had ever stayed in and they couldn't wait to go back! The extra touches and the attention to detail from Jackie and her staff were extraordinary. The food was absolutely sublime and the ballroom provides an absolutely amazing setting. For 2 people who were dreading the thought of a big celebration and were full of nerves- we both actually said we would do it all over again due to the wonderful experience we received from Jackie and the team at The Castlemartyr Hotel.
Added to this is that we feel absolutely blessed to have had Jackie Day as our wedding co-ordinator for our big day. From our first meeting in September 2014, she was so professional, approachable and warm. We knew straight away we loved the venue but she was also by far the best wedding co-ordinator we had come across. Her organisational skills are flawless; she is unbelievably efficient and her experience and dedication to her role was exemplary. Jackie has real passion for her job and is so personable with people. She went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us prepare for our wedding and make it such a special day for us and our guests. We had some quite particular requests and obviously had a lot to organise- considering we were planning our wedding from another country! Yet nothing was too big a job- even though there were weddings taking place either side of ours. She organised printed labels and envelopes for some advice slips we wanted placed on all tables; she arranged for the cutlery to be burnished especially before our wedding and new candles in the candelabras; she arranged for croissants and champagne to be delivered to one of the lodges I was staying in on the morning of the wedding; she was so accommodating with any last minute changes and requests. She honestly was more like a big sister and I honestly don't know how we would have organised everything without her.

There was two things we never got a 1year Anniversary gift to. Stay there which most other hotels offer and the Guinness was really bad

Castlemartyr Resort is a stunning resort in a beautiful part of Cork.
The staff were truly fantastic on the run of to our wedding and on the day itself.
All our guests commented on the quality of the food-it really was top quality.
You want to enjoy your wedding day and not stress about anything and the staff at Castlemartyr certainly allowed us totally relax and not worry about a thing.
I would recommend Castlemartyr to anyone getting married-you will not get better anywhere else.

Had an amazing experience in Castlemartyr. we stayed for two nights, we stayed the night after the wedding with close friends and family invited to the golf club bar for food and drinks.

The day of the wedding was amazing and we received the treatment you would expect from a five star resort.

The food was 1st class and was promptly and professionally delivered.

The staff were all very friendly and polite.

The grounds are second to none and the photos we got that day (Including some bride and groom Crockett action!!!)

I would have no problem recommending this venue to anyone it is worth every penny we spent, an we are looking forward to revisiting for our 1st anniversary :).

Jackie Day did a fantastic job helping us prepare for our special day. She really helped to add some special touches to the day. The hotel did a great job, we got engaged there too and have stayed on a number of occasions....Castlematry is perfect.

We had the most fantastic wedding at Castlemartyr. From start to finish the team could not do enough for us and a special mention to our wedding coordinator Jackie who was exceptional! Our wedding was everything we imagined and more thanks to Castlemarytr and we reminisce every day!

Amazing wedding venue and first class service. Jackie and the team went over and above to accommodate all our needs and I would highly recommend Castlemartyr as a wedding venue. Everything went smooth on the day even though we were an hour late to reception due to an accident on the way to the hotel. We were made to feel like the most important people for the whole weekend. We had a BBQ the next day in the golf club and once again the service and staff were first class.

Castlemartyr is my favourite hotel in Ireland and i had always dreamed of having my wedding there so felt very lucky when i was able to do so!! People still rave about our wedding, it was a really great day. A lot of our guests were travelling from overseas so We felt it was important that the venue wasn't a disappointment. The staff were amazing and so helpful with everything. They went above and beyond on the day thinking of little things that had slipped my mind. An Amazing venue with beautiful grounds and great food. A bit pricey but, I think that's to be expected with any five star hotel, and you definitely get back what you pay for.

Jackie Day was stellar. No other word to describe her. Ever professional and responsive, she covered all of the details and was able to plan everything and assist with vendors as we were planning our wedding from New York. On the day, I even received a manicure on the house in my suite when someone heard the polish was smeared. I cannot say enough about the professional staff, the gorgeous meal, and how elegant the venue was that day. Still getting compliments two years later!

I am sure you are busy with a wedding today but we just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your team. You were all brilliant. We absolutely loved every minute of our day and choosing castlemartyr was definitely the best decision we made in terms of organising the wedding.

We are already excited about our return visit next year.

We will definitely be in to visit in the meantime for lunch/dinner and drinks as we cant get enough of the place.

I wanted to write and thank you for the most wonderful wedding weekend at Castlemartyr.

We had the most wonderful weekend from start to finish. I was so glad that myself and Pat managed to meet you briefly way back in December 2012, we were only engaged a few days but I knew that one of the most important things to sort out before we flew back to Australia would be our wedding venue. You put us both at ease from the very start and I knew that liaising with you from Australia wouldn?t be a problem. You responded to all our mine and mum's queries very promptly leaving me in no doubt that you and the Castlemartyr staff had everything under control.

Everyone was so impressed with the venue, the service, the food and the friendliness of the staff. People commented that it really felt like a destination wedding! It was really great for so many of Mum and Dad?s family to see Cork and Cork hospitality at its best. I have received so many compliments on the day and in the weeks that have followed.

I am so glad you managed to catch up with Mum last week and I?m sure Mum also gave a glowing report? our only complaint is that it was all over too quick!

Now that the dust has settled and normality returned, I would like to express my personal thanks and satisfaction with the Wedding Reception on 20th June and our two day stay in Castlemartyr.

Everything went off so well - mind you, we were doubly blessed in having such a beautiful weekend. One just has to take whatever weather comes, but having a fine sunny day does make such a difference.

Anyway, back to Castlemartyr. You could not have done more for Aoife and Brian and I know they enjoyed their day and were able to relax completely while knowing that the excellent staff were absolutely on top of everything.
