Your special occasion deserves distinctive surroundings. At Fota House we aim to provide you with an elegant and timeless backdrop to your nuptials. Fota House is a stunning two hundred year old Regency Mansion located on Fota Island and adjacent to its world famous Arboretum and formal gardens.

Historic grandeur is combined with the warmest of welcomes at Fota House. A listed historic house, full of character and charm,it's the perfect setting for romantic weddings with a choice of the exclusive use of elegant period rooms with ornate ceilings, marble fireplaces, fine artwork and long sash windows creating the all-important wow factor. We also offer beautiful outdoor spaces set among our formal gardens for wedding ceremonies or to host a full wedding reception with catering. Use the unique surroundings to discover a wealth of great backdrops for those all-important photographs inside or among the gardens.

Huge thank you to eveyone in Fota House for helping to make our day so special. We first went down there to view it as a space for photographs but quickly decided that we wanted to get married there as well as having our photos done there. Bryan and Rita did everything they could to keep us calm on the day. Pierce had a room for himself and his best man to relax in before the ceremony, a quiet space for them to just chill out. When my dad and I arrived at the top of the avenue there was someone waiting there with a walkie talkie. They communicated with the House to let them know we had arrived and they kept us there until some guests went into the house (my dad was very impressed with how everything was run and he isnt an easy man to please haha). When we pulled up Bryan was waiting at the door, he had a little chat with us while we waited for the last few stragglers to go into the house ( he also made sure they didnt/couldnt look into the car). The set up was perfect, all of our guests loved the venue and our photos turned out perfectly. We would 100% recommend Fota House as a venue or even just for your photographs.

Brian and the team are Fota House are really one in a million. We held out Wedding Ceremony at the house and from our first engagement to the actual day of the wedding, we found Brian and the team, to be extremely professional, accommodating and just wonderful people to deal with. The house is spectacular and so is the team and service. Thank you all.

That is my wife and I on our wedding day in the photos! Fota house were extremely professional throughout. They gave us and our guests exclusive parking, they gave us full use of the entire house for photos, we went places tour groups weren’t allowed go. The price was very competitive, but the service was certainly second to none. Every single member of staff treated us both like we were the most important people in the world on that day. Everything was arranged beforehand - even with our small group we were treated like royalty and had full use of the house and grounds for the full day. It wasn’t just a case of having a budget of X and so being entitled to Y - we were given full choice and flexibility of options. I would be the first person to give constructive criticism as to where to improve to the staff at Fota, but they couldn’t, it couldn’t have been a more magical and wonderful day for my wife and I. To all the staff at Fota house, thank you so much for making our special day extra magical, we will never forget the extra mile each and every member of staff went to make us feel like royalty. If you book this venue for your wedding, you will not be disappointed. From the build up to your big day to after service, the professionals at Fota house will leave you 100% happy with the service they provide. Go ahead give them a call, you won’t regret it

We couldn’t of been happier with the service and location of fota house and gardens The elegance of the room was perfect and needed very little decoration . The room just spoke for itself, The grounds were beautiful for pictures and we got beautiful shots in the house upstairs ,
