Where do we even start… we had our wedding on 30th March 2024 and it was everything we imagined and more!! Firstly, Raina was amazing throughout the whole process and she is such a kind, genuine person. No request was too much. We were there for 3 nights and were well looked after for the whole weekend. The mulberry suite is beautiful and a great space for the bridal party to get ready in. The reception was a huge talking point because of the food and atmosphere. The spread was something else!! The newly refurbished ballroom is out of this world!! The food was amazing we couldn’t fault a thing! All of our guests commented on how hospitable all of the staff were and we would agree. Two of our guests had an emergency and had to leave but came back and even though the kitchen had closed the manager made sure they got a meal, We were so happy with this when we heard the next day because it was them touches that made everyone feel welcome. Thank you to Raina and all of the staff for the wedding of our dreams. We wouldn’t change a thing and are forever grateful xx

We had our wedding in The Johnstown Estate on November 11th and where do we even begin! Absolutely exceptional! Raina & the team went above and beyond for us, every last detail was just perfection. Our guests are still talking about the excellent service, gorgeous food and the fantastic staff. Thank you Raina and team for making our wedding day absolutely magical x

We had a fantastic wedding at the Johnstown Estate, our wedding coordinator Raina and all the rest of the staff were amazing and very helpful, and made sure everything went smoothly on the day. The venue and the grounds all looked stunning and the food was delicious. We would definitely recommend the venue to anyone else!

We had our day at the Johnstown Estate this year, and it was amazing! The staff made the lead up to the day, the planning and the day itself absolutely fantastic.

The food and day itself was just amazing and the room was breathtaking! We couldn?t recommend the hotel enough! Thank you ????

The Johnstown provide a fabulous venue for a wedding, we had our ceremony & reception in the hotel. We loved every detail of the grounds & Hotel including the rooms. Raina our wedding coordinator was amazing & was great with keeping in contact with us & felt very safe on the day that all was in hand.
Separately I felt some staff at reception were not so easy to deal with especially on the morning of the wedding. I was ensured at reception the previous day breakfast would be delivered to the mulberry suit before 7am as we had hair/ makeup etc beginning soon after. We got know breakfast until just before 8am as I was rudely told on the phone that the kitchen was not informed & they would not be delivering the breakfast up until after half seven. My mother in law & sisters had booked hair & makeup in the hotel salon to be told on the morning they had no recollection of the booking & would not be able to do anything about it until my sister In law provided the confirmation email they were late getting ready then.
Aside from those mishaps we thoroughly enjoyed planning & having our wedding in the Johnstown Estate.

We had our wedding reception at the Johnstown Estate on the 17th of August. Everything about our venue was spectacular! Our wedding co-ordinator Raina was so helpful, answered any queries we had and everything ran so smoothly on the day! Our guests were raving about the delicious food and how friendly and accommodating all staff were. We had the best day of our lives and Johnstown Estate was outstanding I'm all aspects! We have a lifetime of happy memories made here. Could not recommend enough!

Absolutely amazing service from we booked the venue until our wedding day. Raina was so thorough and helpful all along the way and answered all questions. The meal tasting was a gorgeous evening and really got us excited for our wedding. All of our guests still talk about the food and service. We can't recommend Johnstown Estate enough.

We had our wedding reception at the Johnstown Estate last weekend. We were so delighted with how everything went on the day. Everyone has commented on the high standard of the food and service at the wedding. We had 240 guests and the standard was incredibly high. From our first visit with Tamara to our last meeting with Raina, we always felt at ease with any questions we had. I would highly recommend the Johnstown Estate!

Raina was our Wedding co-ordinator in The Johnstown Estate, and she was brilliant as were all the staff on our Big Day..."shout out to John and Tamara too". Raina is excellent at her job, super knowledgeable and professional, she guided us on so many aspects of the Wedding, between Table plan layouts, recommendations and general advice, myself and Pat thought she was amazing. Whenever I contacted her, she came back to me super quickly and always with the answers to my questions. The Johnstown Estate Team including, Chef's Reception, Servers, Bar Staff, Housekeeping were all 5 star, I/we/our guests could not fault them, the food was amazing, the service - seemless and every little thing was thought of and sorted before I even knew it. Myself and Pat had our Ceremony in the Hotel and it was magical, from Fairy lights, to Lanterns and Candles galore, Raina made it so easy on me, she and all the Team were fabulous with my Vendors to include the Celebrant, Photographer, Videographer, Florist, Musicians, Drag Queens...(I know, we had 3 x Drag Queens...gas) Instaglam, Band, DJ & Sax player, they all had the same excellent experience, which is wonderful. The Johnstown Estate is a "well oiled machine" they have the art of "Weddings" down to a tee. I cannot rate Raina and all the staff highly enough, they made my Bridal journey very easy and my Wedding Day the best day of my life!!

We got married just last week and we are still blown away by how amazing our reception was at the Johnstown Estate. Raina was our wedding Co-ordinator and made the experience of planning our day so easy and special. She really is an expert in what she does and made sure we had every box ticked in advance of the wedding so that we were stress free the week before the wedding and able to enjoy the lead up. She provided very helpful tips and advice throughout our planning of the wedding , all which paid off and made our whole day run so smoothly. Aside from her practical expertise Raina made the planning process fun and extremely enjoyable. She was a pleasure to deal with from a personal perspective and she added a personal touch that exceeded our expectations, nothing was too big an ask. We could not have pulled off such a successful day without her.

On the night itself Marty and his team ran everything on the night with such perfect precision , we could not have asked for better!

Our guests were blown away by the food and are still talking about it a week later. They also raved about the venue itself , the amazing service on the night and the fabulous guest bedrooms.

Eoin and I would highly recommend the Johnstown estate for a wedding reception. The food is outstanding, the venue itself is so beautiful, with such stunning timeless decor in the reception area and ballroom and of course the beautiful gardens which are perfect for getting the most stunning wedding photos. If we could do it all again we wouldn?t dream of getting married anywhere else!!!

The Johnstown estate was just fabulous for our wedding. The staff on the day and night were just brilliant couldn?t fault them. A massive thank you to Tamra and Raina, both co-ordinators were amazing from start when we first booked all the way up until the wedding day when we arrived. The gardens are just fabulous for pictures. We had the most amazing day. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding.

We got married in The Johnstown Estate in June and it is a fabulous venue. We particularly liked the fact that we had a section of the hotel to ourselves and our guests only. One very significant issue is the ongoing dispute between the hotel owner and the owners of some of the privately owned villas on site. One villa owner has a very high pitched air horn / siren (from a generator on the balcony) ringing regularly throughout the night. As a result, this caused us severe lack of sleep the night before our wedding and also we have heard from a number of our guests that they were greatly affected by the siren on the night of our wedding. We wish we had been aware of this before our wedding.

The team at The Johnstown Estate could not of done more for us. From our initial meeting with Tamara right up to our last meeting with Raina we knew that we had chosen the right venue. The menu tasting night was amazing and really helped us pick our final menu. On the day the staff were always on hand for whatever we needed and we had such great reviews from our guests for how amazing the venue, staff and food was. The gardens at the venue really made our wedding photographs look amazing. We would highly recommend The Johnstown Estate to any future couples for their Special Day.

We had the most beautiful experience with the Johnstown Estate for our wedding back in May. Everything was stress free and each one of the staff members were so lovely, attentive and kind. My husband and I were fortunate enough to celebrate our wedding last Christmas at the Johnstown Estate. From the very beginning, we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional professionalism and attentiveness exhibited by the wedding team. The wedding coordinators, Tamara and Emma truly went above and beyond to make our special day an unforgettable experience.

Their prompt responses to our inquiries and valuable guidance leading up to the event made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. On the morning of the wedding, Emma was such a reassuring presence, constantly checking in and offering assistance with any last-minute details. Emma and Tamara were a pleasure to deal with through the whole process and we cannot thank them enough.

Our guests all enjoyed the food and complimented how the staff were all so friendly and attentive on the day. The hotel looked beautiful and is always tastefully decorated for Christmas. We couldn?t be happier with how our day went. The Johnstown Estate is a beautiful venue with excellent staff, food and welcoming atmosphere.

We are so happy that we chose the Johnstown Estate for our wedding ceremony and celebration. Right from our first meeting with Tamara and then Emma, we knew we were in good hands. Particularly the last few weeks before the big day when there were so many little details to finalise, Emma was so accomodating and quick to respond. Then on the day itself, she was on hand to guide us through each step. The location is so convenient. One thing that stood out to us and our guests is that all the staff are so friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and many guests including a chef highly commended it. The hotel looked beautiful and so tastefully decorated for Christmas. Thank you Emma, John and all the team in the Johnstown Estate for making our wedding day such a happy, enjoyable and memorable occasion. We highly recommend this venue.

We are so happy that we booked our wedding with Emma and Tamara at Johnstown Estate. Most of our dealings were with Emma but both Tamara and Emma were fantastic to deal with. Emma was so calm and reassuring on the day itself and made the planning so easy. Everything felt effortless and she was always so responsive on emails etc. She was so approachable yet professional. On the day we felt like guests ourselves and got to enjoy the day because Emma just had it all covered. She was prempting things before they happened- e.g. Mulberry Suite where the girls were getting ready- Emma popped up to check in and felt the room was getting warmer so reappeared with a fan- she was so attentive. The entire team that we interacted with were so lovely and our guests had great fun with the bar staff who were all great sports- nothing was any trouble. Special mention to the bar manager Danny who was so welcoming to our guests and to Denis who looked after us so well the night before the wedding when we had a meal with our families. We had the best few days and our guests commented on how fantastic the hotel, meal and team were- wish we could do it all over again. We are forever grateful to the team who gave us such a fantastic experience. We had 170 guests and would highly recommend it as a venue.

Johnstown was just the most fabulous location for our wedding! The grounds are stunning with the old house at the front, the gorgeous water feature, the fairy garden and the lovely green area full of flowers and a pagoda right outside the reception area. The area for the wedding is stunning too and completely private to the main hotel so you don?t have to see any other guests that are staying at the hotel. Tamara was amazing to deal with in the lead up. All questions were answered promptly and no ask was too much. She really went above and beyond for us, meeting us several times and making my job so much easier as I live abroad. The guests couldn?t compliment the food, drinks and staff enough. Everything was done so efficiently with a smile always. Many people told us it was the best food and service they ever received at a wedding. We stayed at the hotel many times in the lead up to our wedding and received the same excellent food and service. We had the most perfect day and absolutely nothing went wrong. Thanks so much to Johnstown, Tamara and all the wonderful staff, we really appreciate all you did for us and can?t wait to stay again. Johnstown will always have a special place in our hearts now.

Over all it was a good day up until just after the dinner. There was no coordinator then to coordinate with after the dinner. There was no one to announce the speeches, the first dance or the cutting of the cake. Everything then when out of sequence as there was no one there to advise is and rally the guests. The bar staff and servers were excellent and very professional. The food was gorgeous and received great prays from all who attended. Later in the evening i had to go and look for a duty manager to get someone in to try and out some structure back to our wedding.

The Johnstown Estate was just perfection. We loved everything about it, the food was second to none and the hotel is beautiful, the Thermal Spa experience was a hit with our guests and the Mulberry suite / lodges were perfect for our night before. Tamara & Shauna were amazingly supportive to us through 2 years of pandemic postponements we finally had our day here in June 2022 and the team at Johnstown were incredible all the way through. Impeccable service and attention to detail, every question was answered in a timely fashion, even down to final changes on the day they were handled with grace. We were totally at peace knowing we had Tamara handing everything. We can't thank the Johnstown enough for a perfect weekend, especially Tamara who is a credit to the venue. The Johnstown Estate is the perfect wedding venue and we can't wait to go back.

The staff were all amazing and the food was gorgeous! All our guests said how beautiful the grounds and hotel were. Thank you for making our day so amazing and having it run as smoothly as it did. We had the best time at our wedding. It had been postponed twice due to Covid and we finally got to have our big day in October 2021. We dealt with Tamara from the very first time we booked until our big day and she was the best. On the day she kept me calm and was there every step of the way. All our guests commented on how the day was the best from start to finish and the food was amazing. They still talk about it now. The best time was had and we wish we could to it all over again.

Although johnstown estate hotels is an luxurious hotel, its put up to a even higher level by the staff.
First there was Tamara who organised with us the wedding reception we wanted. The patience she had to go back and forth with changes to the arrangements meant Covid wasn't going to beat us. She also convienced us to make use of the swimming pool. To have a family group going for a swim a few hours before a wedding reception is something everyone should try if they are as lucky as we were.
The first welcome of our party at reception from Worjciech which was a pleasure and a few conversations throughout our stay told us what a nice warm person he is.
From managers to staff, Danny, Jason and Adam moving between our reception and daily duties , we were so well looked after.
Even when we asked for snack food to our suite so we could meet our guests on arrival, It was done. They just breezed in and were gone as only true professionals could do. This was one of the highlights of our stay.
Beat is a joy at breakfast service. Chatty, smiling through her mask. Always in good form, just a very genuine person.
The cleaning staff, hard working behind the scenes to turn down our bed and refresh the rooms. Another good reason for staying in our suite.

Food was gorgeous. All our guests, fussy eaters also were more than satisfied with their meals. Well done the chefs.
We singled out some staff however we praise all the staff without exception and hope you are as proud of them as we were privileged to have them make our wedding/honeymoon a beautiful memory.
We have already made one joint decision as a couple, that is we will return as often as we can even if it's for lunch.
Covid didnt ruin our wedding, Johnstown estate made our wedding.

Our wedding day was one of the most amazing and memorable days of our lives thanks to johnstown estate. From the moment we booked our wedding until check out the day after ever member of staff we encountered went out of their way to make us feel special. We didn't habe to worry about a thing because they had everything in hand. Anyone who has their wedding here will definitely have the best day ever with the best memories

The suppliers we had on our wedding day were excellent from the quality of their items to the time and effort they put in to exceeding all expectations on our big day. The Johnstown Estate was a fantastic venue and the staff worked very hard to accomplish a beautiful setting and deliver superb food to all our guests. They were truly delighted with the quality of food and the service given. The bridal suite was out of this world and the Prosecco given with the outstanding breakfast the morning after our wedding really added a special touch ??. We were thrilled with our venue and the whole arrangement of the day. Thanks so much to The Johnstown Estate and all our amazing suppliers for making our day truly memorable for us both. Highly recommend The Johnstown Estate as a wedding venue for any couple getting married in the future. :-)

From our first visit of interest with Johnstown we were welcomed with open arms, they were warm, inviting and very helpful. There was no pressure to book with them but when we did we were treated so well the whole way through. Tamara was amazing, she was so professional and knew everything, she made the whole experience easy and fun, no stress whatsoever and she would do anything and everything. The day was amazing, the setting was beautiful the food amazing and the staff fantastic. Even after the wedding day when talking to guests, each guest made comment on the venue, they said it was the best meal they had and that the staff were absolutely lovely. Everyone praised the venue. I can't recommend it more and can't thank Tamara enough for making us feel so special on the day.

We had our wedding at the Johnstown Estate on 18th July. From the very beginning of planning right until the end of the wedding the hotel and in particular Tamara the wedding coordinator were absolutely brilliant to deal with. Nothing was ever too much to ask of them. The food was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection and the staff were all brilliant. We couldn't recommend the hotel and staff enough. We are so delighted we chose The Johnstown Estate as our wedding venue. It will always have a special place in our hearts.

We had our wedding in the beautiful Johnstown Estate on the 28th of December 2018 and could not have faulted it whatsoever. Everything was perfect from start to finish, food was amazing, staff could not have been more helpful and Tamara was always on hand from when we booked to helping everything run smoothly on the day.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to any future couples who are trying to decide on their dream venue.

The Johnstown Estate is an exceptional wedding venue, and I would absolutely recommend it to other brides. Everyone on the wedding coordination team was a pleasure to work with, and I truly felt that the staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our requests were fulfilled. The prices are extremely reasonable, the food was incredible, and every detail was exactly as we wanted. In addition, the reception space is gorgeous and the recent upgrades to the bedrooms make for a wonderful experience for the couple as well as guests. Thanks again for a terrific weekend!

Amazing wedding venue with added in little surprises by the staff to make the day even more special. Staff were so helpful and really helped make the day. Gorgeous location and really beautiful hotel. The food was delicious and tons of wine for everyone. The guests loved it and wanted for nothing the whole night.

We researched a number of wedding venues and Johnstown Estate had the best wedding co-ordinator by far! Her professional manner to her flexibility were second to none. She showed dedication and that she would go the extra mile. This was the impression we both had on the first day and she didn't fail to deliver. She gave us the confidence that everything was under control and that she was extremely good at what she did.

On our wedding day on the 12th of October 2018, the level of service, attention to detail and professionalism was second to none. The day went in a whirlwind but from our arrival, staff never failed to ensure we were well looked after. From banqueting staff, to chefs, to kitchen staff, everything was perfect. The level of compliments that we received from our guests about the venue, service and food was overwhelming and they were talking about it for months after!

We are so so delighted that we chose Johnstown Estate for our wedding. It delivered to the highest of standards, in all interactions prior to the wedding and on our wedding day. The service and quality on the day was impeccable, the wedding coordinator was the best we had come across, from banqueting staff to chef and kitchen staff. We were thrilled and had such an amazing day. We would not hesitate to recommend Johnstown Estate to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

Tarmara in Johnstown estate was brilliant to deal with. All hotel staff were amazing on the day and day after. Bridal suite is fabulous make sure to take a look. Food was amazing from drinks reception,Meal and evening food. Our guest raved about the food and hotel. Couldn?t recommend this hotel enough if you want a stree free day with happy well feed guests go with Johnstown you won?t be disappointed.

Tamara and her team made our wedding day the most memorable day!
Our family and friends had the highest praise for the hotel and their staff. From the beautiful surroundings outside to the luscious decor inside to the delicious canap?s, they were highly impressed.
We were not surprised because from the very beginning Tamara and Amy had made us so welcome. They were very accommodating; nothing was too big to ask.
The reception dinner was delicious. The serving staff for our wedding were like every other member of serving staff in the bar and restaurant who we have met over the last year; they were polite and friendly, professional yet very natural. The bar staff were kept busy but so friendly and hardworking!
The background staff ensured everything ran smoothly and guided us so well for the whole day and night. The receptionist was super friendly and warm.
The bridal suite was the icing on top of the icing on the cake!! It was so beautifully decorated and luxurious! It was such an experience to stay there.
We had finger food the next night with our bridal party, friends and family which was more than we expected again! The team had taken some of our wedding props and decorated the bar upstairs which was so sweet!
We could not praise you highly enough. Your team made our day so special for us and we greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

We can't thank Tamara and her team enough for making the wedding of our dreams come true... The food was amazing and everyone was served huge portions. The service was outstanding and I can't recommend the venue enough.
The hotel has recently gone through major renovations and it really is the perfect venue. Accommodation is very reasonable and the wedding packages are excellent.

Myself & my husband planned our wedding from Australia, we came home to marry over Xmas 2015. I dealt directly with Jenny, the Wedding CoOrdinator at Johnstown House. She was amazing, absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Jenny is incredibly professional, you just know she knows her stuff & feel completely confident and secure in the knowledge that she will make sure your day runs as smoothly as possible. She was happy to deal with outside suppliers, whom all knew her first hand which was really useful and made things so much easier. I loved our wedding day and can?t recommend Johnstown House Hotel & Spa enough. The staff and service was excellent, we didn?t have to worry about a thing and everything went off without a hitch. Nothing but amazing memories of the day :)

We recently had our wedding in Johnstown House and I cannot recommend or praise it enough.
Everything from the rooms, food, reception, grounds, the ballroom ? the absolutely beautiful ballroom?.was just fantastic. All of our guests spoke of how much they enjoyed the day and how impressed they were with the hotel. All the suppliers we used also had great things to say about working with the team there based on previous experiences. The wedding co-ordinator Jenny is wonderful ? extremely professional and great to deal with at all times - we always felt extremely confident that the day would go well with Jenny looking after things. It is difficult to sum up how much we enjoyed the day! I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding and can?t thank you all in Johnstown enough for making the day so memorable for us.

A beautiful venue. On wonderful grounds and the rooms are lovely (several of our guests commented). The coordinater Jenny is very professional, putting out fires before we even twigged them, and also has a sense of fun, very onboard with things we wanted to do.
The food was delicious, and all of the staff were great. We originally planned an outdoor ceremony and were very disappointed when it rained. But when we saw how lovely they had decorated the function room it took the sting out of having to have the ceremony indoors.
For such an impressive venue the price was really reasonable

Jenny, The wedding co ordinator and Gavin the hotel manager were terrific in the lead up to our big day. Nothing was too much trouble. Jenny gave great advice on what would work and what wouldn't. The hotel staff took all the hassle out of the lead up. On the day everything from the room layout, the staff, the food, the entire flow of the day was perfect. The accommodation for our guests was very affordable. I would recommend 100%.

Excellent venue. We were so glad we chose Johnstown house. We had guests travelling from all over Ireland and the location was easy to get to with lots of accommodation for everyone at a very good rate. The staff couldn't have been more helpful throughout the entire process. If something wouldn't work they would tell us but they went out of their way to fulfill all of our requests. The food was delicious. The bridal suite was stunning. Perfect wedding venue.

We had our wedding in Johnstown House Hotel end of May this year. We had an absolutely amazing day from the moment go. On arrival to Johnstown House we were treated like royalty. Sinead and John couldn't do enough for us. Everything ran so smoothly. They also added little touches that were a surprise to even us, which was lovely. The food was amazing, from canapes, to dinner, to evening food. I cannot fault them for the day we had, thank you.
