Here’s Why You Should Consider a Bridal Boudoir Shoot

Inspiration, Planning & Advice

A bridal boudoir shoot involves the bride posing for intimate photos with a professional photographer. This is a tasteful shoot, where the bride can wear lingerie or other sexy attire. The poses are often very playful and sensual, but classy.

Why should you consider a bridal boudoir shoot?

One of the most common reasons to consider a bridal boudoir shoot is to gift the photos to your Other Half on your wedding day. No matter what you choose to wear or do in your shoot, we just know that your Other Half will be absolutely thrilled with the photos. Make this gift even sweeter by keeping it a surprise until the last moment!

Being able to wear something sexy and have intimate photos taken is not something you do every day. If you’re brave enough to get outside your comfort zone, this will surely be a confidence boost! We recommend finding a photographer that you feel completely comfortable and relaxed with.

What should you wear?

In short: whatever you want. You could wear lingerie (something sexy and comfy, like a bralette and panties), clothes with no underwear or a football jersey. If you’re feeling super brave, you could go fully nude. We recommend starting with the outfit you are most comfortable in and then seeing if you feel comfortable enough to disrobe as you go.

Don’t forget the accessories! You could wear a veil, tiara or heels. Anything to complete the look and help you feel confident.

Who should take these photos?

There are a number of options here. You could search for a photographer who specialises in boudoir photography and then use their studio as a location. Alternatively, ask your wedding photographer if this is something they do. Whoever you choose, be sure to pick a photographer you trust and feel comfortable with.
