How To Cope With Planning Panic!

At the beginning of the year the latest wedding survey was released with the average number of wedding guests being 153 – that is a big wedding! It’s very common for couples to feel, even a little overwhelm, when it comes to keeping all those guests happy. If you’re beginning to feel some planning panic, we’re here with helpful tips to get you past the finish line…

1. Keep your eye on the prize

The number one aim in all of this is to be married, keep that in mind when you are feeling pressure or things get a bit too much.

2. Consider hiring a wedding planner

If you’ve got a good grasp of your wedding finances consider hiring a planner to take over the reigns, especially if you have a high pressure job that leaves little time to wedding plan. You’ll find fabulous planners here.

3. Chat to your other half about whatever is making you feel frazzled!

Whether it’s money worries, guest dilemmas or general wedding panics chatting and being honest about the situation is essential.

4. Perfectionism isn’t real life, time to embrace that!

You’ve likely heard it before a million times, nobody’s perfect. And it is a-okay for you to remember that on your wedding day too. As long as it’s YOUR day, created YOUR way, with colours and style, guests and experiences created how YOU want, it will be YOUR perfect.

5. Give yourself a break

When things get too much you are absolutely allowed to give yourself a break and some space from wedding planning. It’s better to make decisions when you are ready, not when you feel you should be ready. Don’t rush it!

6. Accept help

If your family and friends offer genuine help, take it. Let them be part of your special day by helping you, guiding you or at the very least offering their shoulder when you need it!
