Check in on them

An email, text or phonecall to check in with your suppliers goes a long way! For the last few weeks, suppliers have been dealing with overwhelmed couples, trying their absolute best to bring a sense of peace and ease. These same suppliers are the ones who are bending over backwards to help couples change their plans, and in the process, lots of them are losing business. We have heard of some lovely couples who have made contact with their suppliers just to wish them well and to see how they are doing. We can tell you this: they really appreciate it!

Recommend them

Your venue might not be able to host weddings right now, but they will likely be hosting other parties in the future. Why not recommend your wedding venue to friends and family to use for a birthday party or other gathering later in the year?

Your DJ and musicians will probably be hosting live showcases online and they’ve definitely got videos of themselves performing. Share those videos with your friends and family and encourage other couples to tune into their online performances.

Find creative ways to use their services

See if your florist is still doing flower deliveries and make a plan to spoil a friend or family member with a surprise delivery of pretty blooms. Purchase a gift certificate with your photographer for friends and family to enjoy a photoshoot when life goes back to normal. Lots of caterers are offering meal deliveries, so make the most of those!

If you’ve had to postpone

Make use of your trusted wedding planner! He or she is a valuable wedding supplier during this time. What you really need now is a person to help you reschedule everything and handle the communication for you.

Use this time to support your cake maker. Why not order a gorgeous wedding cake to enjoy together on your original wedding date!

And if you’ve been too scared to start planning

Now is actually the best time to plan your wedding! 2021 is set to be an incredibly busy wedding season, so start making plans now. Select an off-peak wedding day (weekdays and winter dates are our favourites!) and start looking at suppliers now. Most suppliers have found creative ways to meet with couples online, so take any opportunity you can to start connecting with the best in the country!
