Recently at Kippure Estate, we’ve noticed an increase in couples looking for a wedding date in autumn rather than summer. That’s why our upcoming autumn wedding open day on Saturday 21st September will be featuring plenty of ideas to inspire you if you’re planning on getting married during this beautiful season.
Autumn’s the time when Nature goes wild with colour, rustic oranges and browns making an eye-catching theme. Kippure Estate is particularly striking at this time of year. Our 240-acre grounds include plenty of mature woodland populated with beech trees and other native varieties, creating a visual display which is quite breath taking. You could even use autumn foliage for your wedding decorations, particularly if you’re having an outdoor ceremony. Bring those beautiful tones into your wedding bouquet and buttonholes for a splash of vibrant colour.
Imagine exchanging your vows with the wild, beautiful Wicklow mountains as your backdrop or going to a secluded woodland ceremony area for a fairy-tale ceremony with trees as your canopy, falling leaves your confetti. If you’re a quirkier couple, you could even use Halloween as your theme. Picture pumpkin centrepieces and Halloween-themed signage to guide your guests to the ceremony. Or perhaps you like the thought of a rustic chic wedding, with haybales for your guests to sit on and matching wellies for the bridal party.
In the evening you can all gather round the bonfire to toast the happy couple, fairy lights twinkling all around as you enjoy drinks and music in the refreshing outdoors.
