We are absolutely swooning over this wedding underneath the most magnificent weeping beech tree at Bellinter House. Bride, Fiona, and groom, Barry, met on a night out, and what a testament to love they truly are 14 years later on their big day.

“Our first visit to Bellinter House, and we knew the minute we walked into the reception that this was the venue for us. We always wanted to get married & have the reception in the one place. We fell in love with the cosy atmosphere there as well as the gorgeous weeping beech tree on the lawn,” said Fiona.
The ‘morning of’ should be a special time for the bride where she’s surrounded by her dearest friends and family as she’s pampered from head to toe. The groom may be a different story, nervously asking his groomsmen who knows how to tie a tie or fasten his cufflinks, but nevertheless, how could you not have a relaxing and memorable time in the cosy surroundings of the Bellinter House? Love the preparedness of the matching robes and cocktails, girls!
Okay, let’s talk about the dress. We’ll go glamour first, adorable second.
Fiona found her beaded Theia gown by Irish designer, Don O’Neill, at Folkster Bridal in Dublin. Apparently it wasn’t close to what she had in mind prior to dress-shopping but as soon as she tried it on it quickly became the front-runner. I can understand why! The detail from top to bottom is stunning.
The little one’s dress was from Next. How cute are they side by side?
Yes, the tree is a complete show-stopper and the most perfect backdrop to an outdoor wedding but the highlights for us are the sweet glances and whispers between Fiona & Barry caught during the ceremony. Ahh, love.
“We both expected the ‘party’ to be our favourite part of the day but actually it’s without a doubt the ceremony for us! Joe, our celebrant, was good fun and tailored the whole ceremony to us, so our favourite music & readings. Seeing all those friendly faces on the grass as we exchanged our vows under the tree – we loved every minute,” Fiona explained.
The delicate floral accents pictured below are a great way to gently brighten up a table without taking over the room or causing your guests to crane their necks to see each other during dinner. The hints of blue tucked into the menu are an added sweet surprise at each place setting.
Don’t feel like a traditional bride and groom? Then you certainly don’t have to be! The sign above is a great welcoming note to relax your guests as they file in for your ‘I do’s.’ This easily answers the, “Which side is the bride’s?” question you hear at every wedding. What’s even better is there are hundreds of ways to print, paint, snip and frame your own custom note!
The bride’s advice: “Just enjoy every minute of it, especially all the build-up and planning. Try not get too stressed because none of the little things really matter on the day. You are going to have an amazing day no matter what.”
