My style of photography is non intrusive. I like to let the day flow and capture everything from a candid point of view. I always like the portrait images to be as relaxed as possible. I believe that this environment makes the best images.
Photography is my passion. I was always into art from as far as can remember and much of my younger days were spent drawing and painting. In recent later years I was very much into drumming and playing with local bands. I always liked taking pictures. I began to see my images as not just a pretty picture and to see my photography as a way of showing emotion and elation through my own artistic vision. I love the look of old film stock and even though I use Professional Canon cameras I love to edit my work as though it was captured on film.
My style of photography is to capture things that happen in a natural way and document everything throughout the wedding day. If you're looking for the photographer that will pose people and do the cliche things, that’s not me. I love the outdoors and will always try for outdoor portraits (try to find the closest forest) . I’m a sucker for forests and mountains !!! So often we don’t realize the value of a moment, until it has passed. And that to me is why photographs are so important, they remind us of things we otherwise have forgotten or taken for granted.

From the moment Colin entered the house he put us all at ease!! Such a genuine lovely guy who moved around seamlessly taking pictures without anyone knowing! No pressure to pose this way or that, it was the most relaxed way of getting pictures taken and both myself and husband loved this. 2 days after the wedding Colin sent us some sneak pictures and to say we were blown away was an understatement. Can't wait to get the album. A class act!!!

I can?t say enough good things about Colin! He was the absolute dream photographer to have on your wedding day. He does his thing in the background and has the BEST laugh with the bridal party. We had a great day with him. Only a few days after the wedding he sent us a handful of photos as a sneak peak which was so exciting to receive and the quality of the shots are beautiful! Couldn?t recommend enough!

Colin was the most amazing photographer. I cannot recommend him enough. We got married at the start of July after having to change our date a few times, Colin was always so accommodating and always got back to us straight away.
On the day, he couldn?t have more amazing. He made us feel so relaxed and we all had a good laugh together. He went over and beyond to capture the shots we wanted. All of our guests loved him.
I highly recommend Colin as a wedding photographer, if I had to do it again, I would choose him every time.

We were delighted to book Colin for our wedding on the 7th of December in Crover House Hotel Cavan and on the day, we couldn?t have been happier with our decision.
Colin was a pleasure to deal with from the beginning, he very much put us all at ease and many laughs were had with him throughout the day. We particularly loved how quickly he captured the shots and this meant we got to spend our drinks reception with our guests ? without compromising on the quality of the photographs. We absolutely love our photos and don?t know how we are going to narrow it down for the album.

We were lucky enough to have booked Colin as our photographer on the 2nd of November 2019. Colin is amazing at his job, he is so relaxed and made the morning of our wedding so stress free and enjoyable. Along with being an excellent photographer he?s a lovely person, and had everyone laughing with his humour, I was beyond happy with the photos Colin sent us (he sent us 20 photos three days after the wedding which is amazing service) Overall I couldn?t recommend Colin enough, we feel really lucky to have him capturing our special day.

We asked Colin to be our photographer for our wedding in February 2019.
Colin was amazing, he went out of his way to find a place on route to the reception to take some photos, he was so professional on the day, making myself and David completely relaxed and just a really nice down to earth guy! (kinda want to be his friend)
We were sent a sneak peek of our photographs a week after the wedding and were so so impressed!!!

What can I say Colin was part of the family the day of our wedding. From start to finish he made everything seem easy. We really enjoyed the pre wedding shoot we would advise anyone to go for it, it's part of package anyways. It made us feel relaxed with him and practice some natural shots. On the day Colin captured every special moment. We would highly recommend

We booked Colin for our wedding Day in July 2018 after seeing the photos he took from Amy & Darach's wedding in March 2017. Our wedding was in Coolbawn Quay in Tipperary so it was a bit of a trek for him, but from booking him right through to our wedding day, Colin was so enthusiastic about going somewhere new and being there on the day. He travelled all the way down to the venue weeks before the event (a 3 hour trip for him!) just to get to know the areas and blew us away with his energy and PASSION for his job, even before taking a photograph. For any brides or grooms who are uncomfortable with the idea of a photographer, Colin will just blend in with the family - he puts everyone at ease and is just good craic. For anyone who has already booked Colin - my advice would be to trust him with your dress, trust him with your precious time on your big day, be adventurous and you will reap the rewards when you see the amazing moments he captures. You are in safe and creative hands.

eceived our wedding album today and couldn't be happier with it. Colin did an amazing job capturing every moment from start to finish and was hardly noticeable on the day. He melted into the background but didn't miss an opportunity to capture it all on camera and the photos are outstanding. He put us at ease and kept the photos very natural, exactly what we wanted. My husband Steve and I got married on 1st February 2018 in Crover House, Cavan. We had a small family wedding, but to me finding the right photographer was one of the most important aspects to the wedding. I had no idea where to start looking for the perfect photographer, and I researched a few local photographers, as well as ones who were recommended to me by friends. But none seemed right. Then, when I was scrolling through Crover House's Facebook page I saw a stunning photo and Colin Colleran was the professional behind the pic! I immediately knew I wanted Colin to capture the special moments of our big day and I emailed him right away. Luckily he was free on our chosen date, so I made the booking with him. We were so busy before the wedding, we didnt get to meet with Colin, but I had no worries. On the day he captured such special moments and was a joy to be around. He even spent ages outside in the freezing cold snapping images by the lake! We had the absolute privilege of Colin photographing our wedding in October. He was absolutely superb from start to finish. He was above and beyond 5 stars.
From the minute we met Colin we knew he was the photographer for us. Not only was his photography amazing but he had the personality to go with it- he was so easy to get on with and made us feel at complete ease.
We did our pre wedding shoot in the Argory in Moy- we hadn?t a clue what to expect and we were both pretty nervous but Colin soon knocked that out of us and we had such a laugh- and really enjoyed it- the images were so natural- picture perfect to be honest. We just felt after that we would love our wedding photos.
Our wedding day......what can we say? Colin really was out of this world. From the minute he arrived at the house he just fitted right in- our family absolutely loved him as much as we did. He guided us the whole day and kept us on schedule and believe me with 4 women this wasn?t an easy task. Colin completely captured every minute of the day. We always felt at ease and at every photo opportunity there was a smile or a laugh being cracked. We had so much fun. Our photos are absolutely amazing we honestly couldn?t be happier with them- so natural and so us. Colin captured literally everything from start to finish. Perfection at its best. I am so so so so glad that we chose Colin to photograph our wedding on the 1st July. We first met Colin at our pre-wedding photoshoot back in April of this year and instantly he put us at ease (particularly my non photograph loving and apprehensive husband!) with his friendly manner and easy going style. We left the shoot really happy and just loved the style of pictures we received back. The morning of the wedding Colin arrived and just slotted into the proceedings seamlessly, he's great craic to have around and you would barely even notice he was there to take photographs as he was just so unobtrusive. Personally we definitely didn't want a lot of forced and posed pictures and were looking for someone to capture the day really naturally which Colin absolutely did. Although the obligatory posed group photographs were still really fun and enjoyable! Our bridal party repeatedly mentioned how good he was on the day. We've received some photographs back as a teaser and are loving them so far and cannot wait to receive them all. I would recommend Colin to everyone and anyone and again we are so pleased we choose him for our wedding pictures.

Myself and my new husband cannot thank Colin Colleran enough, for capturing our wedding day 2.6.17. As soon as we met Colin at the pre-wedding shoot we knew we had made the right choice. From the minute he arrived at the brides house the morning of the wedding he was amazing, putting everyone at ease and full of craic and banter for the entire day; yet still remaining discrete and largely invisible. Having been watching his excellent work over the last few months and now having worked with him, and seeing first hand how enthusiastic he is about his job, i just CANT WAIT to see all the photos! It takes someone who really loves their job to continuously make each wedding feel unique and special for the couple - and this is what Colin does so naturally. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Colin was just brilliant from start to finish. On meeting him for our engagement shoot he made us feel so comfortable and listened to and took on board anything that we weren't so keen on. On the day everything went so smoothly, Colin not only did his own job but also helped us out in any way he could throughout the day. He made the experience fun for all the bridal party, especially when we were absolutely freezing outside! The finished products just blew us away, he captured everything exactly how we wanted it and seen small details that we didn't even know existed.
