Many couples get married only to look back on their wedding day with regrets. “I wish I’d created a seating chart!” or “I really should’ve bought fewer wedding favours” or “My shoes were so uncomfortable”. But the biggest – and most common – wedding planning regret is not hiring a wedding planner.
Couples often view a wedding planner as a luxury. As a former wedding planner and coordinator, I’m here to tell you otherwise. Before you start thinking “But it’s so expensive!” try asking a wedding planner for a price list. “But I’m so organized”… sure, but will you be running the show on your wedding day?
I highly recommend hiring a wedding planner or day-of coordinator to bring your wedding plans to life. An experienced wedding planner will keep you at ease, offer creative ideas, and get discounts for you on other suppliers.

I had a chat with Zoe from MBZ International and this is what she had to say:
“Couples should hire a wedding planner because planning should be an enjoyable process and a time you get to enjoy and spend with your partner rather than worrying about all the tiny details. I don’t think couples fully understand what goes into planning a wedding until they do it and the biggest feedback I get is ‘in hindsight we should have gotten a planner’.
Once we have a consultation with the couple we begin to form a picture of the day they have in mind, we then start to pull together the best suppliers to create the day that they want. We know the industry suppliers, we get preferential rates which we pass on and if what we present isn’t 100% correct for the couple we keep coming back with more options until it is.
