“We got engaged the following year after we met… while on horseback in the Pyrenees!”
Bride & groom: Gary & Zoë Moore
Length of engagement: 10 months | Wedding date: 25th May 2012
Wedding venue: Borris House, Co Carlow
Photographer: Peter Rowen Photography
We met… On a horseback ride in the Pyrenees, France.
Zoë’s first impressions of Gary… Gary was charming, sexy, and great craic!
Gary’s first impressions of Zoë… Zoë was smart, beautiful and at home in the wild!
“We designed our invitations and service leaflets in hand drawn lily of the valley flowers.”
Our proposal… We got engaged the following year after we met… while on horseback in the Pyrenees!
Our ceremony… We had a joint Church of Ireland/Catholic ceremony with personally selected poetry and songs.
Our wedding theme/colours… We did not have a specific theme as such, however we had lily of the valley bouquet for me and buttonholes for the men, and we designed our invitations and service leaflets in hand drawn lily of the valley flowers.
We chose our venue because… We found it and fell in love with it!
We chose our photographer because… We were looking for someone with a brilliant eye, and a real talent and passion for their work. We also wanted someone who was going to be charming and easy going on the day but also get all the photos we wanted. Peter (Peter Rowen Photography) was all of these things and we really enjoyed meeting and working with him.
“We were looking for someone with a brilliant eye, and a real talent and passion for their work. Peter was all of these things.”

My favourite part of the wedding day… Exchanging rings and kissing!
My dress… I wore a Vintage tailored Jacques Heim dress from the 40/50s, re designed in the Goddess Room.
Our honeymoon… Was a horseback safari in Africa.
My piece of advice for other brides… Enjoy the day!
